At the suggestion of a number of my readers, I will try numbering my paragraphs this week. We’ll see how it works out. I also have material overload again, so a number of stories will be presented with very little commentary.
1) Back to one of my pet peeves. What part of “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion” has anything to do with the State of Utah having memorial crosses along a highway? Our courts have completely misconstrued the “Establishment Clause” of the First Amendment, which I quoted above. IF it is not a law enacted by Congress, it does not violate the “Establishment Clause”.
2) Don’t blame Obama for something that is his fault, since he’s gonna blame Bush. So why are gas prices skyrocketing in our nation?
3) Regular Claw reader “Hardnox” brings us proper instructions on how to behave during an Islamic massacre.
4) A few years ago, the terrorist-supporting government of Gaddhafi’s Libya had a seat on the UN’s Council on Human Rights. That alone made the Council a complete joke. It just got worse. Now Syria is scheduled to take a seat, despite the brutal crackdowns on anti-government protesters.
5) Why does the Obama Administration treat Syria differently from Libya? Could it be because Obama reversed a Bush policy of not having Ambassadors in terrorist-supporting countries and appointed one to Syria?
6) Janet Incompetano’s Department of Homeland Security was ignored by the mainstream media this week as they admitted that there are ten Libyan illegals who were captured in the nation over the past two years and released within our borders. They have no idea where those possible terrorists are.
7) There is an unelected board made up of union activists that has the backing of unConstitutional federal laws in the Obama Administration. This board has declared war on American industry. In their latest ruling, the National Labor Relations Board has ruled that Boeing is forbidden from opening a production plant for their newest jet in a non-union state. Where does the Constitution allow the federal government to force a company to use only union workers to build their products? Where does the Constitution give the government the power to dictate to any company where they may or may not built a plant? The general counsel for the NLRB actually said “A worker's right to strike is a fundamental right guaranteed by the National Labor Relations Act.” There is no such fundamental right unless it is guaranteed by the Constitution, no matter what that act says. The former head of the NLRB agrees that this action by the Board is unprecedented and way beyond the bounds of the government. I sincerely hope Boeing tells the NLRB to sod off and goes ahead with their plans. If the Obama Administration pushes the issue, Boeing needs to take it all the way to the Supreme Court. We MUST push every case involving the federal government acting outside of their enumerated powers to the Supremes. It is time for the Constitution to regain its place as the Law of the Land.
8) Of course, Barack Obama has no respect for the Constitution that he has sworn to uphold. He actually wants to overturn it.
9) Despite everything he has been saying on his “stroke my ego” media tour lately, Donald Trump is NOT a conservative and does not deserve our votes, even if he would be better than Obama.
10) Is this the future of liberal socialism in our nation? A 25-year old in Spain sues his parents because they are cutting off his allowance, although they are taking over his car payments. While the judge DID order the young man to go get a job, he also ordered the parents to continue paying an allowance. Court-ordered entitlement payments?
11) Dan Calabrese of North Star National hasn’t been featured around here lately. This column reminds us of why we enjoy his writing. Junior is more of an idiot than Senior!
12) A football coach in Tennessee got fired because of this song, which he wrote. Evidently some Obama-loving, America-hating parents complained.
13) When you read this story, you might understand why the French surrender so easily and why unions are the scourge of solid work ethics everywhere.
14) Apple has been named the least “green” tech company in the world, which is a bit surprising considering who is on their Board of Directors. Then again, he has always been a lying, blowhard hypocrite.
15) Despite what every Democrat and every member of the mainstream media (sorry for repeating myself) has been saying, the Ryan Plan will SAVE Medicare, not destroy it. Facts and liberals…like sunlight and vampires.
16) The President is supposed to be the leader of our nation, and by default the leader of the free world. So why is it that the current President abdicates his leadership role on every single issue that needs leadership? He always has. Leaders don’t vote “Present” over 150 times in four years. As The Crawfish and Gunny G have both said for the past three years, he always wanted to be President, but he never wanted to BE President.
17) Not only is he NOT a leader, but he is supremely egotistical and narcissistic. He is also delusional and possibly descending into madness. Another trait he has is compulsive lying. He repeatedly said that his father served in World War 2, but since his father was born in 1936, he was only NINE YEARS OLD when the war ended. He also said that his uncle was part of the force that liberated Auschwitz, when every military historian and every Jew of that generation knows that it was the Soviet Red Army that liberated Auschwitz. He surely is not fit for his job.
18) Obama also likes to hire liars for key positions in the government. Did Elena Kagan lie in her Senate confirmation hearings? In the immortal words of another famous woman, you betcha!
19) Here’s another liberal judge who has a conflict of interest, but has refused to recuse himself on a case that directly involves him.
20) A Stanford professor of economics has given us an easily read breakdown comparing Obama’s budget plans and the Ryan Plan.
21) The Obama Administration is officially in mourning. Will The Chosen One ever be able to make another speech without a few tears?
22) Kansas’ Governor is proposing to take funds away from Planned Parenthood because every dollar that they get from the government pays for abortions (don’t try to dispute this by saying the money comes from separate accounts, since the money in the other accounts would be used for abortions if not supplemented by government funds). A RINO abortion supporter actually bleated “I am absolutely amazed that people who want to reduce abortions believe they can do so by cutting off funding for contraceptives.” People who want to have sex without having babies can pay for their own rubbers. It’s called PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY, ya ditz! It isn’t MY responsibility to pay for THEIR rubbers.
23) The race card is out in force this week. We’ll start with PBS’s Tavis Smiley saying that the 2012 election will be the most raaaaaaacist in history.
24) MSNBC’s Ed Schultz reminds us why that network has about a dozen viewers when he says that the Republican Party stands for raaaaaacism! Hey Ed, what party has had multiple Congresscritters & Senators, and even a President (Wilson), who were members of the KKK?
25) Then there’s racist bomb-thrower Maxine Waters, whose House ethics trial should have already been completed, but hasn’t even started because the GOP is scared of her well-used race card.
26) You can take the Messiah out of Rev. Wright’s church, but you can’t seem to get him into a church that is run by anybody other than a racist.
27) Did you know that merging a racist school with a non-racist school is a racist act against the students of the racist school?

4-20-2011 The Weekly Claw
Quite a week we’ve had, in news, politics, weather, and natural disasters. Your humble and sunburned correspondent (airshow…daughter was in charge of sunscreen, so it got left in the car) brings you this wrap-up of the events I found worth talkin’ ‘bout.
We’ve got some really bad wildfires here in Texas. Two C-130 Hercules aircraft from Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado have been dispatched for firefighting duties. Since it is the Obama Administration giving the orders, those C-130s are fighting the fires in MEXICO instead of Texas. Let the Mexicans use their own damned air force!
His Majesty, King Barack I, has now decreed that he will whatever he pleases, even if the law specifically states otherwise. When he was a candidate, Obama stated “We're not going to use signing statements as a way of doing an end-run around Congress”, but that is exactly what he is doing through his latest signing statement. White House Propaganda Minister Carney can’t even get the lies straight, as he told the press that Obama never said he was against using signing statements in this manner. Yo, Carney…learn to use your computer. Some videos are easy to find!
Isn’t there a Constitutional guarantee of equality under the law? The official position of the Obama Administration and the Democratic Party is that (just like in Orwell’s “Animal Farm”) some pigs are more equal than others. Obama intends to issue another Executive Order that will make his own pet pigs even MORE equal. When, oh when, will SCOTUS shoot this stuff down?
We all know that Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the new head of the DNC, is a left wing loon, but her knowledge of the Constitution can be summed up in a single word…nil. She believes that it is simply “outrageous” that private individuals are able to sell personal items to other private individuals within the same state and not be subject to federal scrutiny. Sorry, but the federal government has no authority to regulate intrastate commerce, only interstate commerce. She probably doesn’t understand the meanings of intrastate and interstate.
If you support our national sovereignty, you belong in the Hall of Shame. That Hall had better be real big, ‘cause I’m gonna have a LOT of company in there!
Here’s yet another reminder that most liberal talking points are based upon falsehoods. There is no wage gap between men and women if you compare apples to apples.
The newest talking point is that the GOP will be to blame if the debt ceiling is shattered. Tax Cheat Timmy said so when he visited Crapitol Hill last week. Of course, he is full of Obama when he says those things, because it is the spending of the Jackass Party that has our debt exploding. As Representative Scott of South Carolina points out, we could tax all those making over $100,000.00 per year at a rate of 100% and it would not make a dent in our deficit. Of course, Rep. Scott is an Uncle Tom because he doesn’t worship at the altar of big government liberalism.
The Wall Street Journal shows us the real targets of the Democrats and their taxation plans. Hint: it ain’t the “rich” who are gonna get soaked!
It is amazing, but there really are some people who make Obama voters look sane and smart. Oh, and not all of them are in America. Moronity is an international player!

In fact, when the energy plans of the Obama Administration are examined, it seems that the only real winners are other nations and George Soros. The losers are ALWAYS the American people.

Geoffrey Fieger hasn’t been in the news much lately. Y’all remember Geoffrey, don’tcha? He was Jack Kevorkian’s lawyer. Anyways, he thinks he knows how to make Detroit attractive to young people so it can thrive once again. He wants to make drugs and prostitution legal! That may attract some young people, but certainly not the kind that would make Detroit a great city again. You need industrious, hard working, educated, innovative, and motivated people to do that, not a bunch of doped-up slackers with STDs.
For our friend at RedWhiteBlueNews.com who doesn’t believe that public schools teach the queer agenda, just take a look at what must now be taught in the indoctrination centers of California.
Barack Obama promised “change”, and here’s a chart of the change he brought to our nation. We can always HOPE for a conservative sweep in 2012, so we can have adult supervision of our government for the first time in decades.
How’s that civility thing working out? Here’s how the left shows civility and their love of America. Anthony Martin seems to think that the GOP has a strong field of candidates to oppose Obama in 2012. Of course he includes Huckabee, Gingrich, and Christie, so we know he’s not very bright.
Here’s another update from the Affirmative Action Attorney General’s Injustice Department, and yet another. I keep asking which side they are on, and I never find evidence that it is the side of OUR nation.

4-13-2011 The Weekly Claw
Okay, gang. I had TONS of material ready for a weekend edition and even more standing by for this edition, but I got really bizzy. You see, Friday was the day that I took my kids to a NASCAR race, and this weekend was the opening weekend for Scarborough Faire, which is always part of our family’s schedule. Toss in taking a kid to dance lessons on Monday, and…ohcrap…MATERIAL OVERLOAD! I’m tossing this column together quickly, and dumping well over half of the links I had lined up, but it should still be enough to keep the comments flowing for the next few days. I would comment on Obama’s fiscal responsibility speech today, but I might have to do a whole column on that pile of bovine excrement.
The wonderfully ecological folks from Cuba can drill anywhere they want in the Gulf of Mexico, but His Majesty has decreed (even though the federal courts have said otherwise) that no such deep-water drilling shall be done by companies that need American permits. Which side is more susceptible to having spills? Which side will help us get over our dependence on arab oil? Which side is Obama on? Well, since he’s doing his best to piss off one of the biggest suppliers of oil, he must be on the side of whoever will stick it to the American people.
There were three constant themes in the debate leading up to the Boehner capitulation last Friday. The biggest theme from the Democrats was that the GOP wanted to kill women. This was because the GOP wanted to take federal funds away from Planned Parenthood, which Upchuck Schumer tried to say was a women’s health organization. (How many “health organizations” murder the equivalent of the entire city of Cincinnati in a single year?) Representative Slaughter (Dimwit-Noo Yawk) said that the incoming class of GOP Representatives are Nazis who want “to kill women”. Yes, there was puh-lenty more. Since the Hyde Amendment prohibits federal funding of abortions, how is any funding of this group legal, and why does a private organization need federal funds in the first place?
Another theme was that the GOP cuts were racist. This one was presented by Andrea Mitchell, once again pretending to be an unbiased reporter, Jesse the Racist saying that this was the Civil War all over again, and DC Delegate Norton who said the GOP’s efforts were like “bombing innocent civilians”. Of course, the real racists are those who support Planned Parenthood in their quest to kill as many black babies as possible. Even Ruthie-baby Ginsburg said that she thought Roe v. Wade was intended to rid us of “undesirables”.
Then we get to the Democrats supposedly being the ones who are fiscally responsible, with the GOP giving tax cuts for the rich being the only thing standing between America and a balanced budget. White House advisor David Ploufe laid this one on quite thick, but was an epic fail.
So what did the GOP get out of the budget negotiations? They claimed $38 billion in cost cutting, which means Boehner is a sellout, but it gets worse. Quite a bit of those “cuts” are just accounting gimmicks or cutting positions that were already vacant. The Congressional Budget Office goes so far as to say that the actual savings are a meager $352 million, or less than 10% of the tiny amount Boehner claimed as a victory. John Boehner needs to be relieved of his command.
Back to the liberal racists for a moment. I would comment heavily on this story, but I just don’t have the time, energy, or column space to do it properly. This one really takes the cake.
Obama’s friends in the media keep attacking Israel as much as possible, equivocating Hamas terror attacks on civilians with Israeli strikes on terrorists who happen to hide among civilians.
Here’s yet more information regarding the liberals who made big bucks while intentionally reporting false accounting data at Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. It appears that the Democrats don’t even want to allow hearings into these organizations, which were among the leading factors in the housing/credit collapse of 2008, since it is their cronies who are about to be barbequed.

I was concerned when I saw this headline, but then I realized that it was the Ninth Circus Court of Appeals, so it will probably be reversed like the majority of their decisions.
ACORN has been found guilty yet again, but the Eric Holder Department of Injustice still refuses to investigate them. 2012 can’t come soon enough.
Holder’s ATF gun smuggling scandal just won’t go away. Some of his people might even go to prison. Let’s hope he is eventually one of ‘em. Hat tip to Buck.

Speaking of control freaks, look what we found in Obama’s hometown. Parents are not allowed to have any say in what their kids have for lunch at school. You’ve just gotta love the union power mindset.
James Earl Carter poked his head above water again, and reminded the world how much of an idiot he is. He said that religious leaders trample the rights of women, and that even Christian leaders condone the beating of women by their husbands. Will the 2nd worst President in American history like to back up that statement by naming a single religion other than Islam that condones wife beating? He can’t, because there isn’t one.

Representative Slaughter (Dimwit-Noo Yawk) said that the incoming class of GOP Representatives are Nazis who want “to kill women”. Yes, there was puh-lenty more. Since the Hyde Amendment prohibits federal funding of abortions, how is any funding of this group legal, and why does a private organization need federal funds in the first place?
Another theme was that the GOP cuts were racist. This one was presented by Andrea Mitchell, once again pretending to be an unbiased reporter, Jesse the Racist saying that this was the Civil War all over again, and DC Delegate Norton who said the GOP’s efforts were like “bombing innocent civilians”. Of course, the real racists are those who support Planned Parenthood in their quest to kill as many black babies as possible. Even Ruthie-baby Ginsburg said that she thought Roe v. Wade was intended to rid us of “undesirables”.
Then we get to the Democrats supposedly being the ones who are fiscally responsible, with the GOP giving tax cuts for the rich being the only thing standing between America and a balanced budget. White House advisor David Ploufe laid this one on quite thick, but was an epic fail.
So what did the GOP get out of the budget negotiations? They claimed $38 billion in cost cutting, which means Boehner is a sellout, but it gets worse. Quite a bit of those “cuts” are just accounting gimmicks or cutting positions that were already vacant. The Congressional Budget Office goes so far as to say that the actual savings are a meager $352 million, or less than 10% of the tiny amount Boehner claimed as a victory. John Boehner needs to be relieved of his command.
Back to the liberal racists for a moment. I would comment heavily on this story, but I just don’t have the time, energy, or column space to do it properly. This one really takes the cake.
Obama’s friends in the media keep attacking Israel as much as possible, equivocating Hamas terror attacks on civilians with Israeli strikes on terrorists who happen to hide among civilians.
Here’s yet more information regarding the liberals who made big bucks while intentionally reporting false accounting data at Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae. It appears that the Democrats don’t even want to allow hearings into these organizations, which were among the leading factors in the housing/credit collapse of 2008, since it is their cronies who are about to be barbequed.

Obama kowtows to the Chinese, supports the Muslim Brotherhood, opposes Israel building apartments for Israelis within Israel, sells/gives guns to Mexican drug cartels, and now there’s a story about how he is blocking sales of F-16 upgrade packages to Taiwan. What friend of ours has he supported? What enemy of ours has he not placated?
When he was the head if the IAEA, we knew Mohammed ElBaradei was just another muslim lying to the infidels about the nuclear programs of Syria and Iran. Now he proves to us where he stands, and by association where the UN stands since they always backed him. He says that if he is elected President of Egypt and the Israelis strike the so-called palestinians in Gaza (which is technically still part of Israel), that he will declare war on Israel. Yep, just another stooge of the Muslim Brotherhood.

Well, Gunny G quickly sent in a link to an article from the liberal Annenberg Project from February that states: “Some senior Democrats are claiming that Social Security does not contribute "one penny" to the federal deficit. That’s not true. The fact is, the federal government had to borrow $37 billion last year to finance Social Security, and will need to borrow more this year. The red ink is projected to total well over half a trillion dollars in the coming decade.” Yes, Harry Reid is a LIAR.
Here’s another examination of the root causes of the 2008-2009 financial mess. It is missing one gigantic piece of the puzzle, as I don’t see the Community Reinvestment Act mentioned.
Here is yet more evidence that the model for Obamacare, the British National Health System, is as crappy as any socialist program usually is.

The District Attorney responsible for issuing the charges and arrest warrant is too busy assisting the unions in their attempt to overturn the law to actually do his job. Yes, it is now the official position of District Attorney Ismael Ozanne that making death threats to public officials is not criminal behavior.
The union teachers in California have a really sweet deal going. When they retire, they still make more per year than most teachers in the country. Of course, the taxpayers of California are about to get some serious sticker shock regarding those retirement benefits, since the pension fund currently can only pay 78% of the future obligations, and that is if by some act of God the fund’s investments return at a whopping 8% rate, which will never happen. They’d better get those illegals paying taxes in a hurry!
I’m not saying that Barack Hussein Obama is a liar, but in November he said, “American taxpayers are now positioned to recover more than my administration invested in GM.” Since when is $84 BILLION in losses for the taxpayers a recovery of more than what was invested?
Speaking of lies associated with Obama, the World Health Organization study that was cited as justification for Obamacare was nothing but a fraud, which is what we expect from that organization. It was so disingenuous that the infant mortality rate in the US compared to the rest of the world (a key point for one of my liberal readers who just can’t seem to face reality regarding socialism) intentionally used incompatible statistics. Most other nations do not include low birth weight babies and other conditions that lead to early deaths.
His Homeland Security Ditz, Janet Incompetano, is also a liar. She recently came out and said that the cities near the southern border are as safe as they have ever been. That would be big news to those living in Phoenix. That city is #2 in the WORLD in kidnappings, trailing only Mexico City, and the police believe that the number of kidnappings is heavily under-reported, since many victims are non-drybacks. Just in case any of y’all actually believed that AARP actually stands for seniors and helps them out, here’s a cold-water wake up call. AARP is an organization that puts profit and partisan politics over their members every chance they get.
Why has the American economy turned to crap over the past few decades? We’ve lost most of our manufacturing jobs because of liberal union domination that makes it much less expensive for companies to move their factories out of our nation. We’ve also grown the size of government, with a large chunk of that growth coming since Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Barack Obama came to power in January of 2007. Today, there are almost 2 government workers in America for every factory worker. Saying that this is a disgrace is like saying gang rape is a mild social deviation.
In the continuing budget battles, Senator Nelson (Dim-People of the Corn) said, “It is time to stop playing political games and finish the job that the American public is paying us to do.” Barack Obama chimed in with, “What we are not going to do is once again put off something that should have been done months ago.” Well, let’s take a look at the problem. Oh, I see it! The DEMOCRATS had complete control and could have passed the budget months ago but decided to play politics in an election year! As the shutdown deadline nears, we need leadership in DC. On that subject, Barack Obama ran out of town instead of facing his responsibilities. He’s voting PRESENT yet again.

4-2-2011 The Weekend Claw
Here we go with another weekend edition of The Claw. The left is giving me so much material that I can’t even come close to fitting it into a single edition.
Hezbollah has 950 bunkers, storage sites, and monitoring stations in southern Lebanon. Most of those sites are in areas supposedly controlled by UN peacekeepers who are supposed to prevent such activity. So what is the UN doing about it, other than attacking Israel for having the audacity to build housing for Israelis within the borders of Israel?
All I can say to these liberal lawyers is…if you don’t like it, we can always use bullets or rope. It would be cheaper for the taxpayers.
So how well is Britain’s National Health Service working, as it is one of the main models for Obamacare? Well, one of the former directors of the NHS just died because an operation was postponed four times. If you need emergency surgery, they might be able to schedule you in for 3 months from now.
Just when you thought the liberals had run out of things to tax, they have a new one. You have got to be sh****g me!
Janet Incompetano recently claimed that our border is secure and that the cities on our side of the border are safe. We know that those were lies, but did y’all know that she has ordered border agents to NOT apprehend the illegals that they find? We can’t be apprehending and deporting all of those future Democrat voters, can we? Then again, the current Democrat voters of Mexican descent are not pleased with ANY deportations. Their goal is to turn a large part of our nation into Mexico North. That is why they refuse to assimilate into our culture and language. If they don’t like our language and culture, they can cross the border heading south.
The unholy troika of Pelosi-Reid-Obama has already raised our national debt by over $5 TRILLION since they rose to power in January of 2007. Now the Congressional Budget Office says that their current policies and budget proposals will increase the debt by another $10.4 TRILLION over the next decade. That doesn’t include the debt that their programs are putting on the states, which is causing the states to go under already. Now when responsible adults try to reign in a very small fraction of the unConstitutional spending, they are called “dictators” by the liberal leadership.
The Democrats are now saying that their spending is all for the chillllllldrennnnnn! If we reduce our foreign aid, some 70,000 kids will die in other countries. That’s not OUR fault! Those children are the responsibility of THEIR governments, not ours.
The previous Congress gave a gift to their union teacher friends in the DC Public Schools by cutting off the private school voucher system that was working so well. The vouchers provided families with an option to send their kids to private schools, which in turn gave the children an actual education. The program worked so well that it was putting the future of liberal-controlled public education at risk. It proved that public schools spend a LOT more money per student, and the end product is very much inferior, with the DC Public Schools ranking dead last in the nation. Conservatives around the country have noticed, and they are trying to reel in the costs, which has lead to the new laws in Ohio and Wisconsin (and the resulting hysteria from the unions). The current Congress is working to reverse the Pelosi-Reid decision to cut off the voucher program.
What happens when you let far-left liberals and unions run a city for decades? You get Detroit. Even in the 70s, before the decline became complete, Detroit was a joke. Now, it is just a sad spectacle and a monument to liberalism.
Corruptionois isn’t far behind Detroit, and that is a major reason so many people are leaving that state.
Let’s see if we can figure out the logic of The Chosen One and where it leads. First, liberals basically outlaw most oil drilling in the US. Next, they give billions to Brazil’s oil company, which is partially owned by the hedge funds of George Soros. Then Obama praises Brazil’s offshore drilling and says he wants the US to be their biggest customer. This is followed by a call from Obama for the US to cut one-third of all oil imports. Soooooo, if we cut our oil imports and we can’t drill for our own oil, where do we get the oil necessary for our shipping, heavy equipment, power plants, trucks, cars, aircraft, and such? That’s right. He wants all of that equipment to be shut down so our economy can be shattered even more.
Sean Hannity’s favorite 2012 candidate has shot himself in the foot yet again. This time he is pulling a John Kerry Flip-Flop on Libya. Add that into his marital infidelities and his famous On-The-Couch-With-Nancy television ad that kissed Algore’s butt, and we see how completely unacceptable Newt Gingrich is. Stupid RINO is as stupid RINO does.

Liberals have been perfecting this philosophy since the world first heard of that malignant dwarf.

The latest example is the burning of Christian churches in Ethiopia. That gets very little attention, and there will (rightfully) be no American tax dollars spent to rebuild them. Meanwhile, the United States is spending beaucoup bucks on rebuilding mosques all over the world. Why does Obama keep up his charade about being a Christian?

Now the Congressional Budget Office says that their current policies and budget proposals will increase the debt by another $10.4 TRILLION over the next decade. That doesn’t include the debt that their programs are putting on the states, which is causing the states to go under already. Now when responsible adults try to reign in a very small fraction of the unConstitutional spending, they are called “dictators” by the liberal leadership.
The Democrats are now saying that their spending is all for the chillllllldrennnnnn! If we reduce our foreign aid, some 70,000 kids will die in other countries. That’s not OUR fault! Those children are the responsibility of THEIR governments, not ours.
The previous Congress gave a gift to their union teacher friends in the DC Public Schools by cutting off the private school voucher system that was working so well. The vouchers provided families with an option to send their kids to private schools, which in turn gave the children an actual education. The program worked so well that it was putting the future of liberal-controlled public education at risk. It proved that public schools spend a LOT more money per student, and the end product is very much inferior, with the DC Public Schools ranking dead last in the nation. Conservatives around the country have noticed, and they are trying to reel in the costs, which has lead to the new laws in Ohio and Wisconsin (and the resulting hysteria from the unions). The current Congress is working to reverse the Pelosi-Reid decision to cut off the voucher program.
What happens when you let far-left liberals and unions run a city for decades? You get Detroit. Even in the 70s, before the decline became complete, Detroit was a joke. Now, it is just a sad spectacle and a monument to liberalism.
Corruptionois isn’t far behind Detroit, and that is a major reason so many people are leaving that state.

That’s right. He wants all of that equipment to be shut down so our economy can be shattered even more.
Sean Hannity’s favorite 2012 candidate has shot himself in the foot yet again. This time he is pulling a John Kerry Flip-Flop on Libya. Add that into his marital infidelities and his famous On-The-Couch-With-Nancy television ad that kissed Algore’s butt, and we see how completely unacceptable Newt Gingrich is. Stupid RINO is as stupid RINO does.

3-30-2011 The Weekly Claw
Okay folks, this is another big one, and there will definitely be a second edition this week. In fact, the draft is already half the size of my normal columns.
Have y’all seen the pics of Tiger’s new girlfriend? Yep, she’s a blonde. Is he gonna turn into another OJ? We thought he was a nice guy until…
So Barack gave a speech on Monday. Did it inspire confidence? Nope. Was it about what I expected? Yep. His reasoning for getting involved in Libya was not explained as well as he probably thinks it was. I agreed with some of it (the “right” and “American” thing to do according to our post WW2 norms), but not all of it (for humanitarian purposes only), and the same reasoning could be used to justify involvement in Iran, Syria, Yemen, Bahrain, etc. He never really defined our goals, saying that the ouster of Gaddhafi would be through political efforts, not military efforts, which doesn’t square with giving air support to the rebel forces that are on the move toward Tripoli. He used, okay overused, the personal pronoun “I” throughout, saying that HE took actions, etc. If this same speech had been given by George W. Bush, the media would be savaging it.
This week, we observed Medal of Honor Day. Okay, not many of y’all knew about it, but it is an official remembrance. A disproportionately high number of awardees of The Medal have been Navy Corpsmen and Army Medics, and most of them were awarded The Medal posthumously. Here is another example of one of our finest, whose bravery was a shining example, yet he refused to carry a weapon. Oh, and it is one of The Crawfish’s pet peeves to hear or see someone refer to it as the CONGRESSIONAL Medal of Honor. It is the Medal of Honor, and it is presented “on behalf of Congress”.
Upchuck Schumer was caught trying to coach other Dim-ocrats into blaming the Tea Party for the looming government shutdown, saying that the Tea Party’s position of wanting budget cuts that amount to less than 4% of the deficit (not 4% of the overall budget) is “extreme”, which he states is the language the “caucus instructed me to use.” With a deficit of $1.6 TRILLION, the left wingnuts are claiming that any cut of over $20 BILLION is “extreme”, and the many of the cuts that they would consider are false savings through accounting and wording tricks. The Dims are purposely working for a shutdown, which they will attempt to blame on the GOP, despite the fact that the people of America know who has jacked spending to these out-of-control levels. They really do think you are stupid enough to believe their outright lies.
What would happen if a member of the press was treating this way by a Republican Administration?
Those states are being forced to make huge budget cuts, and every one of them that is controlled by Republicans is catching hell from unions and other liberals, including the media, for it. Meanwhile, uber-liberal California and Governor Moonbeam are also making those severe cuts, but there is a distinct lack of national attention. You see, the unions and media aren’t standing for workers and middle-class families. They are standing for liberalism.
The protests against budget cuts that would take away freebies for the leeches of society and really good benefits for government workers are not happening only in states controlled by Republican Governors and legislatures. They’re happening overseas as well. The Gimme Generation is getting upset that their free ride is coming to an end. Neal Boortz has a good take on these protests, who is behind them, and where they are headed. The era of socialist entitlements is dying because, as Prime Minister Thatcher said. “Sooner or later you run out of other people’s money!”
The GOP, now that they have control of the House, is reverting back to their liberal, big-government ways. They have forgotten who gave them the control and the messages that were sent in November. The Tea Party is now sending a shot across John Boehner’s bow. Will he get the message?

The scandal at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, in conjunction with the Eric Holder Department of Injustice and the White House, won’t go away. The amazing thing is that it is not just Fox News doing the investigating. A team from CBS News has been doggedly after all leads, and has even aired two updates since first hitting the story. The team leader has even declared, “CBS will be with this scandal until Holder and Napolitano leave in disgrace and (Rahm) Emanuel is having heart-to-heart chats with a special prosecutor.” The Crawfish tips his hat to “Buck” for sending in this story. The Obama Mexican Gun Scandal as The Crawfish has dubbed it, has even started drawing attention from other news organizations. Now if the GOP has any stones, they will turn this into a major media story. In other words, it will probably go away.
The Administration’s commitment to criminal behavior is taking yet another curious turn. Last week, I mentioned Jamie Gorelick and her complicity in the collapse of the credit and housing markets, which netted her millions. Well, she also was a big factor in the attacks of 9-11, because it was she who put in place the wall of separation between the intelligence agencies. Now the Obama Administration and Eric Holder’s Injustice Department are considering Gorelick for the position of FBI Director. Folks, I can’t make this stuff up! Meanwhile, another failed Fannie Mae executive is the one running the operation in Libya. No wonder it is all screwed up!
When questioned about the statements from both Hillary! and The Chosen One from when they were Senators saying that a President MUST get approval from Congress before going into military action anywhere, and that not doing so is impeachable, Her Thighness had this to say regarding the Libyan campaign: “Well, we would welcome congressional support, but I don't think that this kind of internationally authorized intervention where we are one of a number of countries participating to enforce a humanitarian mission is the kind of unilateral action that either I or President Obama was speaking of several years ago. I think that this had a limited timeframe, a very clearly defined mission which we are in the process of fulfilling.” In other words, if it is a Republican initiating action, the Congress (or at least the DNC) needs to control it, but if a Democrat initiates action or the action is at the bidding of the UN, it’s all good in the hood! In the same article, SecDef Gates gets all convoluted in trying to explain the rationale behind the operation, saying that it wasn’t in our interests, but was in our interests. This isn’t only the gang that can’t shoot straight, they’re the gang that can’t even get their stories straight…and it gets even better. Team Obama now claims that he didn’t go to Congress before attacking because the situation was too urgent. If it was so urgent, why did he wait over 2 weeks before making the call? Did it interfere with his tee times?
The Eric Holder Injustice Department has now attacked a school district near Chicago by filing a discrimination lawsuit against them, with absolutely no Constitutional justification. The school district did not grant vacation time to their only math lab teacher for three weeks during the school year because she was not allowed 19 days of vacation time according to the union contract. Since she was demanding the vacation for a muslim pilgrimage to Mecca, the Obama Administration had to get involved.
As if we didn’t expect this one. Eric Holder’s Injustice Department has cleared itself of any wrongdoing in the New Black Panther Party voter intimidation case. The day after the GOP takes control of the whole Congress and the White House, the real investigation will be able to take place.
Hmmmmm. What does Gaffes Biden have to say now? He warned that he would lead a move to impeach W if he attacked Iran without getting Congressional approval first. Well, Obama attacked Libya without asking Congress for approval. We are waiting for your call to impeach, Mr. Vice President. (Yeah, I know…impeaching Obama would lead to Gaffes becoming President. All I can say is that he can’t be any worse.)
President Obama has now stated that he will keep his Nobel Peace Prize. Why shouldn’t he? He is still fulfilling every reason that it was given to him in the first place. He’s an anti-American socialist muslim who is not George W. Bush.

3-23-2011 The Weekly Claw
This is gonna be a big one, so tighten those straps, keep your arms and legs inside the car, and remain seated until the ride comes to a complete stop.
Okay, my position on the Libyan situation is conflicted and in need of further explanation. I pretty much agreed with the spirit of what the Arab League envisioned. I thought that we, along with our European and Middle Eastern allies, would provide an aerial defense of the Benghazi area, with anti-aircraft positions in the eastern half of Libya getting hit as well, until some kind of political actions could be taken to end the conflict. I really don’t think it was necessary to hit any of the western half of the nation, especially Tripoli, if we don’t have the stated goal of taking out Gaddhafi Duck. I also thought Barack Obama would get some Congressional authorization first, since the Democrats have always required it from GOP Presidents. As it stands, we need to back off and let the European and Middle Eastern nations take the ball and run with it. Those oil fields serve THEM, not US.
Now, as far as getting rid of the Duck, President Obama has sent very mixed signals, which is one of the reasons so many people are conflicted over the whole thing, including if this is really a “war” and what it means to “declare” war. Roger L. Simon had this to say on Saturday, and changed his mind to this on Monday evening. As you can see…seriously conflicted as well. Going back to his famous Cairo speech, Obama said “I know there has been controversy about the promotion of democracy in recent years, and much of this controversy is connected to the war in Iraq. So let me be clear (this was the milestone 1,500,000th time he said “so let me be clear” since his campaign began): no system of government can or should be imposed upon one nation by any other.” On Tuesday, the White House issued a statement regarding a conversation between Obama and the leader of Turkey saying that they “underscored their shared commitment to the goal of helping provide the Libyan people an opportunity to transform their country, by installing a democratic system that respects the people’s will”, but turned around and said that regime change was not the “effort of our military operation”, so which is it? He has also stated numerous times that it is time for Gaddhafi to go. I just wish he’d make up our minds.
Could Obama and the Arab League be doing this operation in Libya with a future action in mind in another nation? Considering how both parties hate that nation, it could happen. Thanks to Claw contributor “Buck” for this one.

For all of the left wing ranting and raving over the new collective bargaining law in Wisconsin, which is under a temporary restraining order because of how it was passed instead of the substance of the law, the union goons, the left wing media, and all of the Dim-ocrat politicians have conveniently overlooked something. Even under that law, the state government workers in Wisconsin will still have more bargaining rights than any FEDERAL union workers, and Governor Walker is asking why the left wingnuts aren’t protesting against Barack Obama, Harry Reid, and the rest of the Dim leaders. Federal union workers haven’t had collective bargaining rights since James Earl Carter and his Dim-ocrat-controlled Congress passed the Civil Service Act of 1978. Carter even had this to say when he signed it into law: “This legislation will bring fundamental improvements to the Federal personnel system. It puts merit principles into statute and defines prohibited personnel practices. It establishes a Senior Executive Service and bases the pay of executives and senior managers on the quality of their performance. It provides a more sensible method for evaluating individual performance. It gives managers more flexibility and more authority to hire, motivate, reward, and discipline employees to ensure that the public's work gets done.” So which party is the union-busting party?

Now the unions are trying to portray their lavish benefits as the equivalent of the civil rights of blacks earned by MLK and the leaders of the 60s. Richard Trumpka, the AFL-CIO boss who has probably not worked in a real union-represented job for at least two decades, called for union stooges around the country to “stand in solidarity with working people in Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana and dozens of other states where well-funded, right-wing corporate politicians are trying to take away the rights Dr. King gave his life for.” Really? MLK gave his life for the rights of bus drivers who show up drunk for work to get 5 months of paid vacation instead of getting fired and for horrible teachers to keep their jobs no matter how poorly they and their students perform?
The union goons were portrayed by all of the media, with the exceptions of Fox News and a few others, as being so righteous and pure throughout the Wisconsin protests. There was never a bad word said about them. Of course, they actually perpetrated twenty days of thuggery that flies in the face of the liberals’ continual call for “civility” from conservatives and those evil Tea Partiers.
Bill Franks, the head of the American Federation of Teachers union, says that being a Republican is a pathology and evil. He says that the unions started a revolution in Wisconsin (he may be right, but not in the way he thinks!). He praises socialism and says we can learn from it, which is funny, since if he was a real teacher, he would know that socialism has failed every single place that it has been instituted. Yes, this is union civility.
At least one company is taking action against the union civility. Sodexo USA has filed a RICO lawsuit against Obama’s purpleshirt thugs at the SEIU. You really do need to read the article to understand the level of civility coming from The Won’s pets. Hopefully, they will win the suit and get a few million from the SEIU…money that would otherwise be spent on left wing extremist campaigning next year.

The UAW made some concessions to Ford Motor Company a couple of years ago. They did this to keep the company from going under. The concessions, along with other changes in how Ford does business, worked. Ford is now making a profit. That is not acceptable to the UAW. They are demanding that the concessions get rolled back and that they go back to making an average of almost $60.00 an hour per union worker in wages and benefits, which will put Ford right back in the dumper instead of allowing Ford to hire more union workers. The company’s job is to give money and benefits to the workers, not to turn a profit for the owners. Typical liberal logic.

Okay, my position on the Libyan situation is conflicted and in need of further explanation. I pretty much agreed with the spirit of what the Arab League envisioned. I thought that we, along with our European and Middle Eastern allies, would provide an aerial defense of the Benghazi area, with anti-aircraft positions in the eastern half of Libya getting hit as well, until some kind of political actions could be taken to end the conflict. I really don’t think it was necessary to hit any of the western half of the nation, especially Tripoli, if we don’t have the stated goal of taking out Gaddhafi Duck. I also thought Barack Obama would get some Congressional authorization first, since the Democrats have always required it from GOP Presidents. As it stands, we need to back off and let the European and Middle Eastern nations take the ball and run with it. Those oil fields serve THEM, not US.
Now, as far as getting rid of the Duck, President Obama has sent very mixed signals, which is one of the reasons so many people are conflicted over the whole thing, including if this is really a “war” and what it means to “declare” war. Roger L. Simon had this to say on Saturday, and changed his mind to this on Monday evening. As you can see…seriously conflicted as well. Going back to his famous Cairo speech, Obama said “I know there has been controversy about the promotion of democracy in recent years, and much of this controversy is connected to the war in Iraq. So let me be clear (this was the milestone 1,500,000th time he said “so let me be clear” since his campaign began): no system of government can or should be imposed upon one nation by any other.” On Tuesday, the White House issued a statement regarding a conversation between Obama and the leader of Turkey saying that they “underscored their shared commitment to the goal of helping provide the Libyan people an opportunity to transform their country, by installing a democratic system that respects the people’s will”, but turned around and said that regime change was not the “effort of our military operation”, so which is it? He has also stated numerous times that it is time for Gaddhafi to go. I just wish he’d make up our minds.
