9-14-2011 The Weekly Claw

"In Italy for thirty years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love; they had five hundred years of democracy and peace and what did they produce? The cuckoo clock." - Orson Welles

A) The Congressional seat previously occupied by Geraldine Ferraro, Upchuck Schumer, and Oscar Mayer Weiner has gone to the GOP for the first time since 1923, with the Democrat getting less than 40% of the vote. What kinds of shock waves are being felt throughout the Donkey Party leadership today?

B) The Crawfish has been invited to conduct an interview via e-mail with for Dallas Mayor and current candidate for the United States Senate, Tom Leppert. I submitted my slate of 22 questions to his staff on Tuesday. They gave no promises of when the answers will come back to me, since he is still an active businessman and city leader, but they will be featured in a Special Edition of The Claw when I get ‘em. Stay tuned!

C) Folks, I can’t make this stuff up. A fatty in Nanuet, Noo Yawk is suing White Castle Hamburgers because the seat size in their restaurant booths is too small for his lard butt. He is using the Americans with Disabilities Act as his backing, although being a fatazz because you eat too much and exercise too little is not a disability. “I just want to sit down like a normal person” he says. Well, then try losing some weight so you are the size of a normal person.

D) When the new came down that a solar energy company supported by Barack Obama to the tune of $535,000,000.00+ was going bust, we all knew to follow the money trail. The people behind this company are indeed big Obama and Democrat donors, with a whopping sixteen Obama White House visits on his personal scorecard. In the five years prior to the White House money infusion, the company had lost an additional $558,000,000.00+, so everybody and their dog knew that this company was already a bust. Not only that, but the White House made sure that the provisions of the loan put the American taxpayers at the back of the line to recover any remaining money if the company went bust. The billionaire owner gets to sell off the assets and keep the money. Will this scandal, on top of Fast and Furious/Gunrunner/Gunwalker/Castaway scandal finally bring down this Administration? How will Debbie the Ditz and Propaganda Minister Carney defend it? What talking points will they issue to the media?

E) Continuing the practice pioneered by his Democratic predecessors, Barack Obama plans to enact most of his agenda through Executive Orders and regulations from Executive Branch agencies. This practice is highly illegal, since Article I section 8 of the Constitution gives ALL regulatory powers to Congress. It is well past time for Congress to take back the reins of power.

F) The biggest issue facing Rick Perry in his quest for the GOP nomination is his policies regarding illegal immigration. If he were to come out and flatly state that he would accept no plans that include amnesty for illegals, he’d win over a large number of currently uncommitted conservative voters. His stance of no wall spanning the whole border is plausible, since a fence or wall without proper backup will slow down illegals by a whopping 30 seconds. His promotion and signing of the Texas DREAM Act is troubling, but if the federal government is not going to deter illegal immigration nor deport all illegals, the states

G) So how are the policies of Governor Moonbeam and his heavily-Democratic legislature affecting businesses in the formerly great state of California? An online business owner has sent the Gov a nice Dear John letter. Expect much more of this from businesses currently in that state.

H) Mister “Pass this bill!” has sent his bill up to Congress, and it is exactly what we thought it would be. It is Son of Failed Stimulus, and is paid for by making the “rich” (aka those who actually pay taxes) “pay their fair share” (aka pay even more to support the moochers). He said that Congress had to pass the bill immediately with “no games, no politics, no delays” when he has already made it 100% games and politics. He wants it passed quickly so that by the time the public finds out what is in there it will be too late to stop. How is the “Super Committee” supposed to come up with reductions in the deficit when this joker adds in another $447,000,000,000.00+ to the bill? The same tax increases that he is touting are the ones the Democrats wanted to use in that “Super Committee” and almost all have already been rejected by the House.

I) Rat-faced David Axelrod says that the Obama jobs package must be passed as a complete package, stating: “We're not in a negotiation to break up the package. It's not an à la carte menu. It's a strategy to get this country moving.” Sorry, but there are many elements that are complete non-starters and were put in there for Obama campaign purposes instead of for helping the nation. We’re not in a negotiation to pass Son of Failed Stimulus. Then again, the rest of the White House staff, and Obama himself, seem to be signaling that the President will indeed sign any pieces of his plan that get passed even if the rest get nuked. So who screwed up in distributing the talking points?

J) In case you missed it during the Monday debate, Ron Paul once again proved himself to be an idiot regarding foreign policy and the very basis of Islam.

K) The Davis-Bacon Act requires all federal construction contracts to pay union wages, even if the company doing the job is non-union. This costs the federal government billions of dollars every year. If The Crawfish were to, by some act of a God with a sense of humor, become President, I would push for legislation requiring all government contracts to go to companies whose workers are not forced to belong to any organization (or pay dues equivalent) that uses money taken from the workers’ paychecks for political activity. I would also push for all federal property to be right-to-work.

L) The median price of a house in America is about $172,000. So why is the government going to spend $330,000.00+ each to house twelve homeless people in Bethesda, MD, for a single year? That makes absolutely no sense, unless you are speaking with a liberal.

M) I’m all for scientific research and medical advances, but this story just strikes me as really weird. It almost seems fit for a sci-fi “B” movie from the 60s.

N) Remind me in a few years not to let my kids go to Northern Arizona University. Any school that persecutes people handing out American flags on such an important weekend needs to lose all conservative students and all federal funds.

“We must always remember that America is a great nation today not because of what government did for people but because of what people did for themselves and for one another.” - Richard Nixon

  1. Craw,

I stayed up late watching the vote tally in District 9. I LMMFAO when I saw the check mark by Turner's name declaring him the winner with only 66% of the vote in! haha.

A seat held since 1923 is LOST! Ouch, that's GOTTA hurt.

Let us ALL give Weenie a big thanks.

Watching the Dem house of cards fall is better than watching the Three Stooges!

  2. C)... Yeah, I heard this on the news yesterday, and had to laugh. The guy's a fat hog, and the whole world's supposed to adjust for him.

The funniest part is that the White Castle folks offered him coupons for... free burgers!

    Cheese extra, though.

F)... Hey! What happened to the rest of the paragraph?

Yeah, we've discussed this about Perry. It's definitely his Achilles' Hell. Rightfully so. I ain't voting for no amnesty candidates! No way, no how.

This could be Juan McAmnesty all over again. And just see how well it turned out for him.

J)... Paul is one wierd dude. So right on many issues... and so completely boneheaded on so many others.

  3. BTW Crawfish, before I make some comments on your news of mid-week, let me congratulate you on your Orson Welles' quote from the great movie "The Third Man". (Let me also mention that the music from this movie is pretty good too.)

    A) The shock waves are hitting all levels of the DNC and their local offices. In Jackson, MS, this morning the offices of Rep. Bennie Thompson(D) instructed their offices in the Mississippi Delta to say that Rep. Thompson believes that the vote was either racially motivated or a fluke.

    D) I predict that the "Fast and Furious" and the "Solyndra" scandals will not cause an impeachment proceeding to commence. With the Democrats controlling the Senate, what's the point? We will have to wait until after the 2012 elections.

    K) As a consulting engineer, I deal with Davis-Bacon all the time. I want it repealled yesterday.

    Another good edition!

  4. Gunny,
Seat held by Dem standard bearers Ferraro and Upchuck....HAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!

  5. Brian,
    C) If you're fat, Whit Castle probably ain't the place you should be eating at. Try Souper Salad.
    F) Where did it go????? Just checked my other sites and it vanished on all of them as well!

There was a LOT more that we detested about McLame than just his weakness on this issue. Discounting immigration, Perry is still 1000% better than McLame, but I do want him to grow a spine here.
    J) And his supporters believe that if you criticize him on anything, you are a nazi-Democrat-World Agenda 21 (whatever that is)-Jew loving-evil stupid person

  6. Ghost,
actually got the quote this morning from a post by one of my friends on Facebook.
    A) WOW! Didn't take long for the race card to pop up! The district has a large Jewish population, and they actually support Israel.
    D) I doubt impeachment will happen, at least for Obama, but the investigations and everything they uncover will be public scandals of the highest order. Holder might be impeached.
    K) I want all of our labor laws regarding unions scrapped. The federal government has no right to have any say in the private business contracts between employer and employee. If it weren't for union seniority laws, I wouldn't be getting laid off on Veterans Day.

  7. E. And just where are we to find enough in Congress to do what needs to be done? If they do have the umph, they are vilified relentlessly. If they don't have the umph, they just keep their seats and retire on OUR labor and sweat.

  8. Crawfish,

    Good edition.

I am besides myself with the news that Turner took Weiner's seat in the House. Looks like all that Israel bashing is backfiring on zero and the dims.

  9. Some real Turd McNuggets here.A) I am taking a wait and see attitude on Turner. Good that a r got the seat,as long as he doesn't turn out like Scott Brown. C)This asshole ever wonder HOW the hell he GOT THAT FAT? This ought to go NOWHERE. Gonna run out and get a sack to go. H) A big "no shitter" there. Getting cold up here near Duluth. May have to aim this sucker south!! C ya.

  10. The problem, Craw, is that I'm not going to "discount" immigration. To me, that's like discounting gun control. It's one of my deal-breaker issues.

Amnesty for illegal aliens will destroy this country.

  11. The scandals in the Obama admin will go nowhere as usual. How long have they been on the BATFE one? And instead of heads rolling we get promotions instead. The same will happen in the Sylindra scandal. Nothing touches a demorat.

I wish you'd leave the stuff out about fat people. It's not really news of any sort and it gives your articles an aura of nastiness that I'm sure is unintended. I wonder how many fat people come on here to comment. I can think of one already and it's not me or Ron btw.

The big weiner seat going to the Rs is good as long as it's not another Scott Brown as someone else stated. That was a great disappointment as he votes with the Ds. The Jews seem to have gotten a brain for once and decided against the dems and the anti Israel Obama. That's a good sign if it lasts.

And if you are interested Obama is about ready to limit our gun rights through EO. I sent a petition to sign. This is a biggie. Once he has us disarmed, it's all over.

  12. Mrs. AL,
It will take us a couple of decades straight of a conservative House, a conservative Senate, and strong conservative Presidents to restore our nation. There's no way the media and the leeches will allow that.

  13. Hardnox,
it seems to have been a major issue there for sure

  14. Clyde,
    A) it is a STEP in the right direction no matter what...will it be a leap?
    C) If you eat White Castles (or Krystals) by the dozen....
    H) The idiot will stop at nothing in his quest to destroy our nation, and his party will support him all the way (unless they fear for their own re-elections)

  15. Brian,
We won't ever get a perfect candidate. The American political scene has been sharply tilted to the left for so long that our Constitution is considered right wing extreme. The best Constitutionalist out there happens to be the biggest moron on foreign policy and national defense.

  16. (A) I'm sure the same denials were rampant on the Titanic.

    (B) I sent you my list. A report back in the Claw on his political leanings would probably be of interest to everyone. I think Dallas is a pretty liberal city.

    (E) This ties in with an article I emailed you about passing a bill making it a crime not to abide by your oath.

    (F) Until he has come out with a solid stand I'm gonna bypass him.
We don't need another Bushlike, "..these folks are just here to do jobs no American will do.." type politician.

    (G) That ain't a Dear John. That's more like a Look, Asshole, Get It Together Or We're Outta Here letter.

    (H) Gee, he really thinks we're all that stupid, doesn't he.

    (I) I think if any of his package makes it through the House then Boehner should be fired. He's already sounded like a RINO too many times.

    (K) I believe Davis-Bacon should be challenged on grounds of Constitutionality.

    (L) The same reason the government gave Seattle 20 Million to "weatherize" homes in the Seattle area where temps range around 50-60 year round. The program managed to spend the 20 M by hiring a total of 12 employees who "weatherized" 4 homes.

    (N) Wonder what the reaction would have been had they been passing out Mexican flags and copies of Das Kapital, Mein Kamph or koran?

  17. I'm with the Gunny on weiner but I think a lot of the turnout was the wrath of the crowd against the not so one. White Castle should just refuse service to Mr. upsize me. Failed spendulus is the right way to destroy the economy if that's your AA goal. Rat faced axlerod, you gotta love a name like that Craw.

  18. Crawfish,

Just a suggestion, but if you have never seen the movie "The Third Man", you need to.

B&W, 1949: "Pulp novelist Holly Martins travels to shadowy, postwar Vienna, only to find himself investigating the mysterious death of an old friend, black-market opportunist Harry Lime."

Orson Welles, Joseph Cotton, Benard Lee (prior to his "M" days with 007).

    Great Movie and great music.

  19. Craw,

Have you read up on Agenda 21? Really bad stuff coming out of the UN. Here is the link to go to on this: http://americanpolicy.org/category/sustainable-development/

This is where we are headed and Obama is leading the way right now. When he introduced his EO on the Rural Council that sealed the fate for everyone. It goes hand in hand with the UN Agenda 21.

Lots of people are not paying any attention to the dangers of this program.

  20. Buck,
    A) The crew of the Titanic blamed Bush?
    B) Dallas has become more and more liberal as the whites move to the suburbs (Plano, McKinney, Celina, Frisco, Southlake, Coppell, etc) and the rest of the city is infested with blacks, Mexicans, illegal Mexicans, homo nation, and the libs who love that stuff.
    E) SHOULD be a crime! But 90% of the judges would have to recuse themselves from hearing the cases!
    F) It is the #1 thing holding me back from endorsing him. Outside of that he is the clear #1 in this field for me, which ain't sayin' a lot for this field. Bachmann has seemed a bit flaky lately.
    G) Somehow, methinks that ship is already sailing.
    H) He thinks anyone who disagrees with him is stupid.
    I) From what I've seen, there are a FEW things in there that could fly, but the vast majority is warmed over dog poo.
    K) As should Dodd-Frank...and 95% of all current regulatory statutes.
    L) We need to do a serious investigation on every penny spent on that "stimulus" and prosecute all who misused it or authorized waste.
    M) They would have been given a stage, and the media would have been alerted.

  23. Pepp,
everything I've seen of it is dangerous to us. I've been saying since his campaign days that BO wants to see our nation taken over by the socialists (including the UN) and/or the muzzies. He would prefer the muzzies, but will settle for the socialists to weaken us so the muzzies can finish us off.

  24. "to catch up on the hundreds of movies I've missed in the past couple of decades....."

D*mn Crawfish, this movie came out before I was born and I am 60!

Just set your control box of your cable provider to watch for a showing of "The Third Man". If you have a DVR, record it and watch it when you have time.
