Wow. The Crawfish went to the Tarrant County sub-courthouse on Monday to renew his auto registration, but was thwarted in the attempt. You see, the County Tax Assessor offices are not open on weekends, when the citizens have the opportunity to visit without missing work, and close during the week at 4:30, also to preclude the majority of citizens from being able to get the jobs done. I got off early enough on Monday to swing by, but they were closed all day. They were observing the birthday of Cesar Chavez. What does a non-dryback who unionized non-drybacks in California have to do with Tarrant County, Texas?
Since when does a President have the Constitutional authority to change the terms of contracts between individuals and their lending institutions? Of course, no such authority comes from the Constitution, but since when do Democrats care about that moldy and flawed document written so long ago by a bunch of old white guys, some of whom owned slaves? The Obama Administration is going to ORDER banks to cut mortgage payments for people who are unemployed. While The Crawfish and his conservative brethren all wish that banks would work with those who are unemployed to keep them in their homes by deferring some payments or something of that sort, it is wrong for the federal government to step into the matter.
So what does Homeland Security Ditz Nappy have to say about this story of an Arizona rancher near the border being murdered by border crossers? Will she say that “the system worked” again? Will she and her boss say that this is yet another reason to have amnesty and open borders?
Obama’s new pick to head up Mediscare and Medicaid wants a “radical transfer of power” and believes health care in America is based on skin color. It would really be nice to see an appointment of someone who is sane to an Administration post.
In a new Rasmussen poll, 62% of main stream Americans say that the Tea Party movement is closer to their views on the issues, while 12% say Congress is closer. When the political class is asked the same question, the margin is 90% to 1% (yes, ONE percent) in favor of Congress. This is sounding more like the Soviet Union or France of the 1780s.
Michelle (***sigh***) Malkin is on semi-vacation, but she still delivers a strong column regarding the fake violence claims by the leftists and the history of actual violence by the left that has been blamed on the right. She also has another column on how the liberal media is going along with all of the leftist claims despite all evidence to the contrary, along with the history of Democrats opposing the legislation that the left now claims as some of their monumental victories. Like I’ve said many times over the past couple of weeks, stand by for a new “Reichstag Fire” incident that will be used as the catalyst for the leftists to initiate a severe crackdown on all dissent. That will eventually be followed by a new version of Krystallnacht, with conservatives playing the part of Jews in Hitler’s Germany.
The supposed threats by conservatives have been proven false time and again; with exactly zero conservatives being charged with any crimes. Compare that to the liberals, one of whom has been arrested and charged with threatening the lives of Republican Representative Eric Cantor and his family through a YouTube video. Fittingly, the man was from the City of Brudderly Hate. And there was also liberal radio host Brian Maloney calling Representative Boehner “Boner” (they really do love sexual terms, don’t they?) and calling for the deaths of Beck, Limbaugh, and O’Reilly. Representative McDermott even ranted on the House floor, calling those who dare to support the Constitution “teabaggers”. You keep classy, liberals!
Then there was the violence in and around the Tea Party event in Dingy Harry’s hometown of Searchlight, NV. The ones making the threats and throwing the eggs were...yep, Reid supporters.
Senate Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-Montana, where men are men, women are men, and sheep are scared) has now admitted that one of the goals of Obamacare and the rest of the Democrat agenda is to address the “mal-distribution of wealth in America.” In other words, their agenda is...trumpet fanfare please...socialism!

The story of the “Christian militia” in Meeeeechigan is getting curiouser and curiouser. The initial reports were that they were about to attack muslims, which means Obama was just protecting his own when he ordered them arrested. A day later, the story changed to say that the group was about to try to kill a large number of police officers from around the nation by shooting one or two, then hitting their funeral processions (which are normally filled with cops from all over) with IEDs. Film review time, folks. “The Hurt Locker” gets a solid thumbs up, but it is NOT a flick for everyone. It is intense, and the characters are well developed. Bomb disposal is a job that calls for extreme bravery, steady nerves, and a huge set of brass ones. It can also drive even the best over the edge. How they do it is beyond me. Say a prayer for those guys, and if you ever meet one buy him a beer.
Has any American President ever disrespected one of our allies like Obama has done to the Prime Minister of Israel? This time, Obama walked out of a meeting with Netanyahu because the Israelis refuse to give The One a written statement promising to never build another bit of housing for Israelis within the West Bank. He got up and walked out to have a private dinner and said to call him if Israel has anything new on the issue. Netanyahu should publicly state that he will not deal with Obama until he shows his original birth certificate to prove that he is legally the President.
The CBO has a habit of underestimating true spending in programs and budgets, but even they say that Obama’s projected 10-year budget deficit is over $1,200,000,000,000.00 too low, and that Obama will raise the national debt to over 90% of our annual GDP in that decade. His mission to destroy our nation is succeeding.
The Golden Dumb-Bass of the Year Award goes to Bart Stupak of Meeeeeechigan, and not just for voting for the Senate Obamacare bill while believing in an Executive Order that can overrule the law, that the Senate will take up a mythical “reconciliation” when they got the bill they wanted passed, and the Tooth Fairy. He also gets the award for saying this, “Planned Parenthood does not do abortions…in my district. Planned Parenthood has a number of clinics in my district that provide health care for my people. Therefore, these clinics do quite well in my district, and I’m all for health care and extending it to everybody--access to health care, so that’s just another way.” Planned Parenthood is not in the health care business. They are in the abortion business, and do it wherever they have offices.
Congresscritter John Dingel thinks the Obamacare legislation will only cover “300 people”, but that’s not the real news. He admits that the eventual goal is to “control the people.”
You know that the Obamacare legislation is horrid if it is endorsed by Fidel Castro.
Senator and Doctor Tom Coburn offered an amendment to the Obamacare bill in the Senate. All but one Democrat voted against the amendment. That means that the Democrats, with the sole exception of Evan Bayh, support giving Viagra and other erectile dysfunction drugs to sex offenders and having the federal government pay for abortion pills such as RU-486.
This story doesn’t apply to just Barack Obama, but rather to all Democrat Presidents, and their liberal allies in Congress and the Courts, for at least the past 100 years. Yes, I include non-conservative Republicans such as the Bushes in there as well.
So what else do the socialists want to steal from you? Well, the Obama Administration and the SEIU union thugs now want to take away your private retirement accounts and put the money of ALL Americans into a single government-managed retirement plan. Don’t we already have something like that? I do believe we have it and that it is financially insolvent. It’s called Social Security.
The arabs of Than Franthithco are miffed at the Police Chief. He had the unmitigated gall to notice that muslims are terrorists and vice versa.
Complete ignorance of what the Constitution actually says and support of illegal immigration are character traits found in many judges, not just those appointed by Democrats. U.S. District Court Judge Jane Boyle, appointed by noted friend of non-drybacks George W. Bush, has struck down a city ordinance that bans landlords in Farmers Branch, TX, from renting properties to any person who cannot show that they are in the country legally. She declared that such an ordinance is “an attempt to enforce U.S. immigration laws” which can only be done by federal officials. First of all, it is not enforcement of immigration laws. It is a city housing ordinance, and there is no mention in the Constitution about the federal government having purview over local housing laws, which means that the 10th Amendment overrules this judge. Secondly, if the locals authorities can’t have anything to do with federal laws, then the feds cannot have anything to do with local laws. Bank robbery and kidnapping are state laws, but are investigated by the FBI.
IT’S ABOUT TIME! It appears that the Noo Yawk Port Authority and developers have finally got their stuff in one sock and are going to start rebuilding on Ground Zero.
“Ginny” of the Poll Katz gets credit for this one. Folks, even The Crawfish can’t make this kinda story up. As Ron White said, “you can’t fix stupid!”
The leftists are up in arms because of some threats to Congresscritters over their usage of the Constitution as toilet paper. There are even calls for arrests. Funny, but where were those folks when the calls for W to be killed were going on from 2001-2009? The Crawfish believes that some of the threats are actually being committed by leftists in order to make it look like the conservatives are deranged and dangerous. There will probably be some kind of staged violence which will be all Barack Obama needs to suspend the Constitution for our own good while arresting every known strong conservative and confiscating all privately owned firearms. Check your history books for the Reichstag Fire and Kristallnacht.
Some folks have just gotta stop looking to be offended by every comment. A black Republican candidate for Congress said “Listen up, Buckwheat!” when referring to The Chosen One, and the leftists and blacks in his area are going haywire. Just like him, The Crawfish has used the name “Buckwheat” over the years to denote someone who ain’t exactly playin’ it smart. It is NOT a raaaaaaacist comment!

3-23-2010 The Weekly Claw

If any of you had any thoughts that Ah-nahld the Barbarian was a real Republican, this should clear those outta the way. He recently signed California Assembly Bill AB 962, which forbids interstate sales and purchases of ammunition, including internet sales. One of The Crawfish’s fellow bloggers, Brian Baker of Saugus, California, found that this is a completely unConstitutional law, so he went to the California Rifle and Pistol Association, which is basically the NRA’s California branch office, and they told him to start a petition. Huh? Well, Brian told them to pack sand since they couldn’t find their adult pants, and he filed the federal lawsuit himself. Read more about it, including the actual language of his lawsuit, in this post from his blog. I’ll keep y’all up to date on this as Brian updates me.
Compare those actions with this statement from a REAL Governor: “Unfortunately, the health care vote had more to do with expanding socialism on American soil than it does fixing our health care finance and delivery systems. The Obama health care bill undermines patient choice, personal responsibility, medical innovation and fiscal responsibility in America. As passed by the U.S. House, the bill will cost Texas taxpayers billions more, and drive our nation much deeper into debt. Congress's backroom deals and parliamentary maneuvers undermined the public trust and increased cynicism in our political process. Texas leaders will continue to do everything in our power to fight this federal excess and find ways to protect our families, taxpayers and medical providers from this gross federal overreach.”
Here is yet another blatant example of why the civilian court system should never have a single word to say regarding the terrorists and illegal combatants that we hold in Gitmo. A Clinton-appointed judge has ordered the immediate release of one of the Al Qaeda schmucks who recruited 9-11 cell leader Mohammed Atta. Why would a judge do that? He’s doing it because the illegal combatant was mistreated while in custody. Sorry, idiot, but the Geneva Conventions give exactly no protections to illegal combatants, and neither does our Constitution. As soon as we drained him of his information, we should have executed him.
RJ of Paul Revere’s Riders sent along a number of items since my last column that are definitely Claw-worthy. First comes confirmation that Bart Stupak (D-Meeeechigan) is indeed a prostitute. Within 12 hours of his caving in for Obamacare, Stupak received $726,409.00 for equipment at three airports in his district. He also received an Executive Order from The Chosen One that prohibits public funding for abortions, but as we all know, such an Executive Order is less than useless. It expires when Obama leaves office, and that will probably be before Obamacare actually does anything except raise taxes (remember that none of the programs in the bill get started until 2014), and Executive Orders are meaningless if the law says something different, and the Senate Obamacare bill requires abortion coverage in plans that people get federal grants to purchase. Of course, Stupak was lying all along when he said that he would vote against Obamacare unless he got provisions added that preclude taxpayer funding for abortion. As this video shows, that provision never was a deal maker/breaker for him. He was going to vote for the bill no matter what.
Wait a sec...back up to the airport deal. Didn’t Queen of the House Red Nanny P-Lousy say in her victory speech, “No money changed hands, of course”?????? Can she actually go 15 minutes without lying?

When Stoooopid....er, Stupak gave his sell-out speech on the House floor, someone shouted out “BABY KILLER”, which was nothing but an accurate statement. The socialists in Congress and the media went nuts trying to tar and feather the person who made that call, and Monday they found out who it was, as Randy Neugebauer (R-LUBBOCK, TX) proudly admitted that it was him. Some Socialist Congresscritters claimed that there was spitting and racist remarks spewed forth by the Tea Party protesters at the Crapitol over the weekend. The Capitol Police reported none of it and made no arrests. This set of videos also seems to prove the Socialists to be liars, as per usual.
That doesn’t stop a race-baiting columnist from the city that gave us Jeremiah Wright, Calypso Louie Farrakhan, and Obama from calling opposition to Obamacare and Obama in general RAAAAAAAACIST! Here’s a hint, ditz. I don’t care what race he is. I care that he is an anti-Constitutionalist, a socialist, a supporter of America’s enemies, and a liar.
One of the immediate results of the passage of Obamacare is that the United States government is being warned that our AAA bond rating is said by Moody’s to be in serious danger. Congrats to Queen of the House Red Nanny P-Lousy, Dingy Harry Reid, and Bu’raq al Obama. Your dreams of the destruction of our Constitution and our nation are being realized.

A number of folks sent this information to me. March 22nd is the 245th anniversary of another piece of legislation that was forced upon the American people, and was one of the sparks that led to the Revolutionary War. On that date in 1765, the Stamp Act was passed.

In the Battle of Midway, Torpedo Squadron 8, assigned to the carrier USS Hornet, sent 15 Devastator torpedo planes against the Japanese fleet. Each aircraft had an officer pilot and an enlisted gunner. All 15 were shot down, with only Ensign George Gay surviving. The Hornet’s captain had photos and film shot of all the flight operations and aircrew on his ship, and these films were given to legendary Hollywood director John Ford for his movie about the battle. Ford and the Navy also made this shot memorial film for the families of Torpedo 8. Only 30 copies were made, and it wasn’t until recently that the general public has been allowed to see them. The men of Torpedo 8 and their sacrifice on June 4, 1942, need to be remembered and honored by all Americans.

One of The Crawfish’s fellow bloggers, Brian Baker of Saugus, California, found that this is a completely unConstitutional law, so he went to the California Rifle and Pistol Association, which is basically the NRA’s California branch office, and they told him to start a petition. Huh? Well, Brian told them to pack sand since they couldn’t find their adult pants, and he filed the federal lawsuit himself. Compare those actions with this statement from a REAL Governor: “Unfortunately, the health care vote had more to do with expanding socialism on American soil than it does fixing our health care finance and delivery systems. As passed by the U.S. House, the bill will cost Texas taxpayers billions more, and drive our nation much deeper into debt. Here is yet another blatant example of why the civilian court system should never have a single word to say regarding the terrorists and illegal combatants that we hold in Gitmo. A Clinton-appointed judge has ordered the immediate release of one of the Al Qaeda schmucks who recruited 9-11 cell leader Mohammed Atta. Why would a judge do that? He’s doing it because the illegal combatant was mistreated while in custody. Sorry, idiot, but the Geneva Conventions give exactly no protections to illegal combatants, and neither does our Constitution. As soon as we drained him of his information, we should have executed him.
RJ of Paul Revere’s Riders sent along a number of items since my last column that are definitely Claw-worthy. First comes confirmation that Bart Stupak (D-Meeeechigan) is indeed a prostitute. Within 12 hours of his caving in for Obamacare, Stupak received $726,409.00 for equipment at three airports in his district. He also received an Executive Order from The Chosen One that prohibits public funding for abortions, but as we all know, such an Executive Order is less than useless. It expires when Obama leaves office, and that will probably be before Obamacare actually does anything except raise taxes (remember that none of the programs in the bill get started until 2014), and Executive Orders are meaningless if the law says something different, and the Senate Obamacare bill requires abortion coverage in plans that people get federal grants to purchase. Of course, Stupak was lying all along when he said that he would vote against Obamacare unless he got provisions added that preclude taxpayer funding for abortion. As this video shows, that provision never was a deal maker/breaker for him. He was going to vote for the bill no matter what.
Wait a sec...back up to the airport deal. Didn’t Queen of the House Red Nanny P-Lousy say in her victory speech, “No money changed hands, of course”?????? Can she actually go 15 minutes without lying?

Some Socialist Congresscritters claimed that there was spitting and racist remarks spewed forth by the Tea Party protesters at the Crapitol over the weekend. The Capitol Police reported none of it and made no arrests. This set of videos also seems to prove the Socialists to be liars, as per usual.

In the Battle of Midway, Torpedo Squadron 8, assigned to the carrier USS Hornet, sent 15 Devastator torpedo planes against the Japanese fleet. Each aircraft had an officer pilot and an enlisted gunner. All 15 were shot down, with only Ensign George Gay surviving. The Hornet’s captain had photos and film shot of all the flight operations and aircrew on his ship, and these films were given to legendary Hollywood director John Ford for his movie about the battle. Ford and the Navy also made this shot memorial film for the families of Torpedo 8. Only 30 copies were made, and it wasn’t until recently that the general public has been allowed to see them. The men of Torpedo 8 and their sacrifice on June 4, 1942, need to be remembered and honored by all Americans.

3-21-2010 The Weekend Claw
The Crawfish apologizes for the lateness of this column. It was a very busy week for me and my family, and I didn’t have as much computer “quality time” as I wanted.
For those of you who are wondering why I no longer have advertisements on my blogspot site, Google AdSense has declared that my site “poses a significant risk to our advertisers”, but they refuse to tell me what they have based this decision on. They have done this to a number of bloggers recently, most of whom were just short of the threshold of getting another check. I have not broken their terms of usage, so I don’t know what to tell y’all. It is just another way to screw a disabled veteran out of money for no apparent reason. Here’s more on how Google engages in censorship in order to maximize their own income.
Parents of girls, be aware. Do NOT let your girls join the Girl Scouts. Check out what is getting pushed on the girls in the Scouts by their organization and the United Nations.
Why does the Catholic Church not excommunicate someone who claims to be a Catholic, but supports abortion and calls for people to pray to Saint Joseph in support of a bill that supports abortion? Nancy Pelosi even notes that she regrets that her family is pro-life, so I guess she regrets that God is pro-life. What an idiot.
Why is it that celebrities who are married to beautiful women with great bodies can’t be satisfied with having those hotties in their beds and have to go off and cheat on ‘em? The big story of that nature recently has been Tiger Woods and his wife Elin, but now Jesse James has had an affair with a chick who is covered in tattoos (The Crawfish likes a few tats, but not complete body coverage) while his own bed was occupied by Sandra Bullock. Dude, are you stooooopid?

Honesty is NOT part of the mainstream Democratic Party. They are touting how the CBO scored their bills to show a large deficit reduction, but that score was based on all sorts of predictions regarding the economy and tax revenue that are pipe dreams at best. They also left out the “Medicare fix” part of the bill, so they can put it in separately. The CBO says that if the “Medicare fix” is included, Obamacare goes into the red like we all know it will.
Let’s keep with this theme of honesty and Democrats for another paragraph or two. Last summer, Representative Joe Sestak was offered a high-ranking job, possibly Secretary of the Navy, by the Obama Administration if he would not run against Arlen S.P.E.C.T.R.E. in the Democrat Senatorial primary this year. Sestak admitted this numerous times to multiple media outlets. Now both the White House and Sestak refuse to comment on the matter, since it has been noted that any such offer would be a felony, and an impeachable offense for Barack Obama. Look for the Affirmative Action Attorney General’s Injustice Department to investigate the matter for 15 seconds before declaring it a non-issue.
House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer kept up the dishonesty throughout an interview with PBS’ Charlie Rose. He said Obamacare is “not a controversial item”, “we've had more town [hall] meetings and citizen input on this bill than any bill I've seen in the 30 years I've been in Congress”, “a relatively small group, particularly partisans, who have tried to inflame and incite the American public”. Let’s see…if there was no controversy, then why is the public so outraged and why is it taking so long for a solid Democrat majority in both houses of Congress to pass a bill? As for “town hall meetings and citizen input”, the vast majority of the people at the town hall events were there to tell your party to ditch the Obamacare bills, and well under half of the people polled support the bills. That’s real citizen input, Steny. Oh, and the majority of the American people is a “relatively small group”, eh?
The House voted 222-203 in favor of the Slaughter Rule on Thursday. This means that they will not actually vote on the Senate bill, but will “deem it to have passed” when they vote on their “reconciliation” bill. This means that the Senate bill will not have been passed per the rules set forth in the Constitution, which requires a recorded actual vote on every bill for it to pass in each chamber. This also means that there can be no “reconciliation”, since THAT rule requires the bill to have been passed by both chambers. The Democrats are now officially operating outside the boundaries of the Constitution, and they don’t care what anybody thinks about it. Now let’s see how fast this can get challenged in federal court.
Now this story begs for conservative commentary on a number of angles. We have an escaped murder from Panama who crosses our porous borders illegally, then acquires a false Social Security card and uses it to obtain federally subsidized housing, where he lives for over a year. First of all, it shows that the Obama Administration and the P-Lousy/Reid Congress still oppose doing anything about securing our borders. Secondly, according to the Social Security Act, Social Security cards and numbers are to be used for administering the Social Security program only. Any other usage (for identification, applying for other government benefits, for tax ID number, for credit reporting, etc.) are all ILLEGAL. Thirdly, why should a single penny of my taxes go to subsidize housing for anybody who is not physically or mentally disabled to the point of not being able to work at all? I still don’t see anything in the Constitution authorizing it.
Representative Alcee Hastings, the only impeached federal official ever to be elected to Congress has this to say about the process, “When the deal goes down, uh…all this talk about rules..uh, we make ‘em up as we go along.” In other words, “Screw the Constitution, we are Democrats!”
As long as impeachment is part of the discussion, there are a lot of folks out there calling for Obama’s impeachment if he signs the anti-Constitutional result of this weekend. There’s a slight problem. As of now, impeachment articles would never pass the House, so that must wait until at least January of 2013. Then again, this year’s Senate election cycle is highly unlikely to result in a GOP takeover of the Senate, because of the breakdown of the seats up for election. That means that articles of impeachment cannot be considered until at least January of 2013, and hopefully The Chosen One will be being replaced at that point anyway.

Thankfully, the Republicans, Congressman Stupak and his group of pro-life Democrats, and the US Conference of Catholic Bishops have actually read the bill and know that it does in fact force taxpayers to pay for abortions. How do you improve the medical system in the United States? Well, according to the folks who support Obamacare, the answer is to create 159 new federal bureaucracies! What a crock of fecal matter.
Gaffes Biden thinks Israel slapped him across the face by having the unmitigated nerve to announce that they would build housing for Israelis within Israel, but a real slap came when Biden himself said “God rest her soul” when talking about the Irish Prime Minister’s mother as he introduced the PM at a White House Saint Patrick’s Day event. Unfortunately for Biden, the PM’s mother is very much alive.
Continuing the theme of Biden the Dunce, we have an interview that is full of brain-dead statements, including one that the Obamacare vote will help the Democrats in the fall elections. Yes, voting against the will of the American people and doing it in a way that voids the Constitution is a GOOD thing for Democrat candidates. He must live in Bizarro World.
Joe Biden also declared that if Obamacare passes “you know we’re going to control the insurance companies.” I still haven’t found any language in the Constitution that allows the federal government to control any privately held companies.
Recently we brought y’all word of the Obama Administration banning all new offshore drilling by American companies. Last year, the Chinese government made a deal with the Cubans to start drilling in Cuban waters, closer to the US coast than our own companies can drill. Well, another of our antagonists is joining in on the drilling spree...the Soviet Unio...er...Russia. Way to go, Barry!
Recently, the Affirmative Action Attorney General’s admission that not only did HE work for a law firm that represented and supported terrorists, but that he had hired a number of lawyers who represented or supported terrorists to work at the Injustice Department hit the news wires. In response to those stories, Eric Holder now calls lawyers who represent terrorists “patriots”.

3-16-2010 The Weekly Claw
Well, my vacation is over. I am officially EMPLOYED again, having started working at a defense contractor this week. The big drawback is that I now have to decide what to wear to work each day. I’m not wearing a uniform anymore.
Last week, the House was considering a rules change that would allow them to “deem” the Senate Obamacare bill passed when they voted on the corrections bill. Some of the readers of this column and a few other blogs that I frequent opined that this rules change was probably unConstitutional, but that they had no reference on it. Well, The Crawfish delivers. Here is Article I, Section VII, Paragraph II of the Constitution: “Every Bill which shall have passed the House of Representatives and the Senate, shall, before it become a Law, be presented to the President of the United States; If he approve he shall sign it, but if not he shall return it, with his Objections to that House in which it shall have originated, who shall enter the Objections at large on their Journal, and proceed to reconsider it. If after such Reconsideration two thirds of that House shall agree to pass the Bill, it shall be sent, together with the Objections, to the other House, by which it shall likewise be reconsidered, and if approved by two thirds of that House, it shall become a Law. But in all such Cases the Votes of both Houses shall be determined by yeas and Nays, and the Names of the Persons voting for and against the Bill shall be entered on the Journal of each House respectively. If any Bill shall not be returned by the President within ten Days (Sundays excepted) after it shall have been presented to him, the Same shall be a Law, in like Manner as if he had signed it, unless the Congress by their Adjournment prevent its Return, in which Case it shall not be a Law.” Notice that the votes MUST be cast and recorded. There is no “deeming” allowed by the Constitution, but when has a meaningless document ever gotten in the way of the far left, in this nation or any other?
When directly asked about the unconstitutionality of this procedure, Representative Slaughter deemed to present this response, “I think it’s ridiculous and people who are telling you its unconstitutional should know better and you should be very outraged that people who don’t know better will say things like that. This has been used since 1933. The Republicans used it about 34 times in the last term, and we’ve used it abundantly this last term. There’s nothing at all unconstitutional about this. It’s a perfectly legitimate way to do things.” Oh really? Show us those 34 times that this process was used and I will personally file a federal lawsuit to have those laws overturned because they were never passed according to the Constitution. Have you even read the Constitution, Representative Slaughter? My guess is that the answer to that question is a no.
When Queen of the House Red Nanny P-Lousy’s chief deputy was asked about it, he completely danced around the question while asserting that everything was Kosher. He can’t read the Constitution, either.
The Chosen One is saying that he won’t campaign for the House Dems who vote against the Obamacare bill, which, given his track record, increases their chances of getting re-elected.
Dingy Harry Reid is once again proven to be a complete and total moron. Take a look at this interview, where Dingy tries to say that paying taxes is voluntary, although if you don’t pay you will be fined or put in prison. Can you imagine what would happen if this video were to be played on national TV?
Poor Jessica Simpson. The epitome of blonde says that since her last boyfriend’s revelations about their sex life, men have been undressing her with their eyes. Here’s a hint, deary: that’s been going on ever since you became a celebrity.
Jess isn’t the only dumb blonde in the news this week, as Townhall blogger “Jim” pointed out to me this week. Hillary! is spending $5,400,000.00 to buy new champagne flutes and wine goblets for American embassies around the world. First of all, what the *@#^@% is wrong with the stemware already in those embassies? Secondly, doesn’t she know there’s a recession going on and the Obama Administration is already beyond broke? Thirdly, she contracted with a Swedish company because she couldn’t find an American manufacturer who makes lead-free crystal…well, sorta. She contracted with a Swedish company because she likes finery from foreign lands. That has to be the real reason, since the state that she supposedly calls home, at least in order to have become a Senator, has a company that makes lead-free crystal stemware. Imagine that, a Clinton who lies.

Last week, the House was considering a rules change that would allow them to “deem” the Senate Obamacare bill passed when they voted on the corrections bill. Some of the readers of this column and a few other blogs that I frequent opined that this rules change was probably unConstitutional, but that they had no reference on it. Well, The Crawfish delivers. Here is Article I, Section VII, Paragraph II of the Constitution: “Every Bill which shall have passed the House of Representatives and the Senate, shall, before it become a Law, be presented to the President of the United States; If he approve he shall sign it, but if not he shall return it, with his Objections to that House in which it shall have originated, who shall enter the Objections at large on their Journal, and proceed to reconsider it. If after such Reconsideration two thirds of that House shall agree to pass the Bill, it shall be sent, together with the Objections, to the other House, by which it shall likewise be reconsidered, and if approved by two thirds of that House, it shall become a Law. But in all such Cases the Votes of both Houses shall be determined by yeas and Nays, and the Names of the Persons voting for and against the Bill shall be entered on the Journal of each House respectively. If any Bill shall not be returned by the President within ten Days (Sundays excepted) after it shall have been presented to him, the Same shall be a Law, in like Manner as if he had signed it, unless the Congress by their Adjournment prevent its Return, in which Case it shall not be a Law.” Notice that the votes MUST be cast and recorded. This has been used since 1933. The Republicans used it about 34 times in the last term, and we’ve used it abundantly this last term. There’s nothing at all unconstitutional about this. It’s a perfectly legitimate way to do things.” Oh really? Show us those 34 times that this process was used and I will personally file a federal lawsuit to have those laws overturned because they were never passed according to the Constitution. Have you even read the Constitution, Representative Slaughter? My guess is that the answer to that question is a no.

3-12-2010 The Weekend Claw
Before we get into the meat of today’s column, I’d like all of my readers to give up a prayer for Senator Harry Reid and his family. His wife, Landra, and daughter, Lana, were in a major car wreck Thursday night. Their car was rear-ended by a semi-truck. As of last evening, Landra was in serious condition with a broken neck and broken back. No matter what we think of Harry Reid as a politician, we NEVER wish ill to him or his family.
It looks like Townhall.com is run on liberal principles. One of their most widely read and commented upon blogs was GunnyG’s “The Anti-Liberal Zone”. Well, the ALZ attracted a bunch of liberal trolls who were quite often rude, crude, and vulgar in their comments about Gunny, his readers, and conservatives in general. The trolls generated a lot of complaints to the Townhall management, so they responded…by removing the ALZ from their site. Well, folks, The Crawfish’s blogging mentor and friend GunnyG has a new home at blogspot, where The Crawfish moved in December. Here’s the link to GunnyG’s “The Anti-Liberal Zone”.
I’m actually somewhat surprised that I haven’t gotten more comments from this story that was in Tuesday’s column than I have. “The Obama administration will accept no more public input for a federal strategy that could prohibit U.S. citizens from fishing some of the nation's oceans, coastal areas, Great Lakes, and even inland waters.” That doesn’t hack y’all off? Am I the only redneck ‘round here?
Poll Katz e-mailer “Ginny” found this one. A Walmart in Louisiana is selling their black Barbies for about half the price of the white Barbies. There are sooooo many comments that could be made here, but I’ll resist them for now.
“Ginny” also sent along another example of the lunacy that is Noo Yawk. State Assemblyman Felix Ortiz has introduced a bill that would prohibit the use of salt in restaurant food preparation. Now just how in the hail is a chef to properly season his food if there is no salt allowed? Sure, some foods can be salted by the diner at the table, but other foods cannot be fixed via the table shaker. I just can’t see a couple trying to enjoy a romantic dinner using a salt shaker on their dessert cake.
Two thirds of Americans responded in a poll that they favor more offshore drilling to help get us a bit more energy independent, but His Majesty King Barack I has now banned all new offshore drilling for the balance of his term in office. The mainstream media made sure nobody heard of this, and the Energy Secretary made the announcement quietly last Friday. This is yet more proof that Obama favors the muslims over Americans. Go ahead and try to prove me wrong on that statement.
Regular Claw contributor “Beachmom” sent in this amazing story. It seems that the Dems in the House have exactly zero trust in their Senate brethren and in His Emminence Sultan Bu’raq al Obama. They KNOW that if the House passes the Senate Obamacare bill, The Anointed One will sign it immediately and there will never be any incentive for the Senate and Obama to consider any “reconciliation” or “fixes” to the bill. Check out how the House is looking to change their own rules in order to prevent the non-reconciled bill from becoming law. Dr. Milton R. Wolf, MD, is a second cousin of Barack Obama, and supports him on almost every issue, but he is outspoken in his opposition to the Democrats’ versions of health care reform. The House has voted unanimously to impeach him, even though the Justice Department refused to bring charges against him.
The leading candidates to replace Dingy Harry Reid once he is UNelected by the Nevada voters this fall, Upchuck Schumer and Turban Durbin, are looking into the possibility of changing the Senate rules regarding filibusters. They know that they will definitely have less than 60 socialists in the Senate next year, so in order to get any more of The Chosen One’s anti-Constitutionalist agenda passed, the 41 vote filibuster must be ended. Wouldn’t it be funny if they were able to make that change and the GOP took over the House and Senate?
Why is it that Hollyweird big shots all go over the anti-American ledge on the left side after they’ve been there for many years (with few exceptions)? Now we’ve got Tom Hanks out there saying that the war in the Pacific Theater and the war of Islam vs. the world are based on “racism and terror”, and he doesn’t mean terror as in acts of terrorism. No, ya idjut, in the Pacific, we were fighting against a nation that was trying to take over a large part of the globe, and they attacked us first. In the current war, which began over 1300 years ago, we are fighting an enemy whose religion commands them to take over the world and enslave or exterminate all who refuse to believe in their religion. Try entering reality and studying some history, ya schmuck!

They are simply following the commandments of that religion to convert, enslave, or put to the sword (that means KILL for those of you educated by union teachers) all non-muslims. He was trying to uphold those commandments even in high school, as he was known to be continually trying to convert students to the religion of the pedophilic false prophet.
That anti-American atheist Michael Newdow got a slap in the face by, of all courts, the 9th Circus Court in Than Franthithco on Thursday, as a three judge panel of the Court ruled against him on both cases that he had pending. The judges rules that the “under God” phrase in the Pledge of Allegiance and the “In God We Trust” motto on our currency and coinage is Constitutional, although they made a large mistake in their rulings. They said, “The Pledge of Allegiance serves to unite our vast nation through the proud recitation of some of the ideals upon which our Republic was founded” and that the motto is ceremonial and patriotic, not religious. They still refused to acknowledge the salient point, that a school district or state education board’s decision to have students recite the Pledge does not violate the 1st Amendment because those bodies are not Congress and they are not making a law. What part of “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof” is so friggin hard to understand?

The Eric Massa implosion over the past week has caught the eye of every member of the media, but they have all overlooked one major point. Eric Massa not only groped male staffers, but he has a history of inappropriate homosexual behavior, including groping, from his days as an officer in the Navy. Is anybody going to bring this up in regards to the Obama plan to end “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell”? If Massa had done those kinds of actions with a female subordinate, he’d have been kicked out in a heartbeat! If a guy had done that in any of the sleeping quarters that I was in aboard ship, he’d have gotten a severe beating and then would have been dragged to the nearest officer of the ship’s security detachment.
Hugo the Red is once again exercising the kind of power that Barack Obama’s dreams are made of. He has seized two sugar mills, accusing them of not abiding by the government production and transportation schedules and not properly paying the workers.
Textbooks around the country will soon have some very good information for the young skulls full of mush, and it is sure to drive the union teachers up the wall. A member of the Texas education board put forth an amendment that said part of the social studies curriculum standards would include, “understand how government taxation and regulations can serve as restriction to private enterprise.” In other words, Obamacare and Crrap and Tax might not be good for bidness.
Another violent American muslim has joined Al Qaeda and has been arrested overseas. This time it was a 26-year old black man from Noo Joisey, who used to work for a power company and did some maintenance at nuclear power plants. The story says, “the allegations appeared to illustrate a phenomenon U.S. intelligence officials have warned about: American Muslims becoming radicalized and joining terrorist movements overseas.” How many times must we point out that they are not “becoming radicalized”? They are simply following the commandments of that religion to convert, enslave, or put to the sword (that means KILL for those of you educated by union teachers) all non-muslims. He was trying to uphold those commandments even in high school, as he was known to be continually trying to convert students to the religion of the pedophilic false prophet.
That anti-American atheist Michael Newdow got a slap in the face by, of all courts, the 9th Circus Court in Than Franthithco on Thursday, as a three judge panel of the Court ruled against him on both cases that he had pending. The judges rules that the “under God” phrase in the Pledge of Allegiance and the “In God We Trust” motto on our currency and coinage is Constitutional, although they made a large mistake in their rulings. They said, “The Pledge of Allegiance serves to unite our vast nation through the proud recitation of some of the ideals upon which our Republic was founded” and that the motto is ceremonial and patriotic, not religious. They still refused to acknowledge the salient point, that a school district or state education board’s decision to have students recite the Pledge does not violate the 1st Amendment because those bodies are not Congress and they are not making a law. What part of “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof” is so friggin hard to understand?
Poll Katz e-mailer “Ginny” kicked me an article confirming that Toyota just can’t seem to get anything right these days. Then again, could their main competitor in the US (General Motors) and GM’s owners (Obama and Congress) be behind all of Toyota’s problems? I don’t remember where I heard that rumor, and don’t really believe it, but it is something to ponder.

3-9-2010 The Weekly Claw
Geez, DC thaws out and the nuts come out in full force.
“Applications of constitutional text and principles must be open to adaptation and change ... as the conditions and norms of our society become ever more distant from those of the Founding generation.” What liberal politician made that statement? Well, he’s not exactly a politician. That quote comes from the writings of Goodwin Liu, who President Obama has nominated for a spot on the 9th Circus Court. Did you really expect Obama to nominate someone who doesn’t wish to overturn the entire Constitution? The Constitution means exactly what it says, and all judges who oppose that meaning, and the politicians who nominate and vote to confirm them, are in dire need of deportation.
Once again, the Obama Administration proves that they are siding with the muslim world against Israel, by condemning the planning of more Israeli housing within Israel. Israel’s lands include the Golan Heights, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip, so they can do whatever they want in those areas. If the so-called “Palestinians” don’t like it, they can move back to Jordan, where most of them came from in the first place. Does Iran condemn the building of more housing for Americans in San Diego because the Mexicans used to claim that land?
Muslim leaders in America are proving again that a person can be a muslim, or an American, but it is not permissible to be both.
How does a radical socialist with power say “screw you, I’m getting whatever I want no matter what happens to you”? The headline of this story will answer that question. For any “reconciliation” to happen, the House must first pass the Senate bill, which Obama will immediately sign into law. At that point, the Senate has no incentive to consider any “fixes” to the bill, because Reid got the whole Senate bill passed! Game over.
Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Meeeechigan) is either a complete moron or incredibly naïve. He actually believes that President Obama and Dingy Harry will write a fix into the “reconciliation” that will change the abortion language currently in the Senate bill. That bill mandates abortion coverage in all gummint or gummint-subsidized insurance plans, which means that taxpayer money will pay for abortions. I don’t know how many times I will need to say this, but there will be no “reconciliation”!
The Chosen One went to the northern suburbs of Filthadelphia on Monday to make another campaign rally-type pitch for Obamacare, during which he intentionally lied about the budget impact over the next decade. He flew Air Force One up to NAS JRB Willow Grove, where The Crawfish was recently stationed, for this little speech. Wouldn’t it have been a LOT cheaper to make his speech by teleconference? Doesn’t he know we’ve got a big budget deficit? He’s wasting hundreds of thousands of YOUR tax dollars just to be seen in Pennsylvania with Arlen S.P.E.C.T.R.E., who flew up with him. He’ll be wasting even more money to rally the people for Obamacare later this week.
The Completely Stoooopid Politician Quote of the Month goes to…drum roll please…Queen of the House Red Nanny P-Lousy, for this absolute beaut while talking about the Obamacare bill, “But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy.” Yes, before you can find out what’s in the bill, you must pass the bill. Only in the “most ethical Congress in history” can that quote make sense. Queen Botox has lost her mind.
The Obama budget plan has been scored by the CBO, and it ain’t a pretty sight. The Socialist in Chief’s plans will increase our national debt by $9,800,000,000,000.00+ in just the next decade. The interest payments on this debt alone will be $800,000,000,000.00+ per year just down the road. Senator McConnell remarked, “in just four years the administration predicts the government will have to spend more just to pay interest on the federal debt than it spends on the Departments of Agriculture, Commerce, Education, Energy, Health and Human Services, HUD (Housing and Urban Development), Interior, Justice, Labor, State, Treasury, and the Corps of Engineers, Environment Protection Agency, GSA (General Services Administration), NASA, National Science Foundation, Small Business Administration and the Social Security Administration – combined.”
It’s funny enough for us when Democrats attack each other over their beliefs, but when a liberal attacks his own stances on the issues, you just have to sit back and enjoy it.
Do any of you out there like to go fishing, or have family members that enjoy fishing, or even watch the occasional fishing show on TV? If so, that’s just another reason to oppose the Obama Administration. They’re putting forth a proposal that might severely limit recreational fishing in American waters, including inland.
Ahhh… Ya gotta love those TOLERANT liberals. Hollyweird idjut Sean Penn, whose only quality roles have been when he has played a druggie (“Fast Times at Ridgemont High” and “The Falcon and the Snowman”), in other words when he has played himself, says that any journalist who calls his best friend Hugo the Red Chavez a “dictator” should go to prison. As for anybody who questions the humanitarian motives behind Chavez’s meager bit of aid to Haiti, Penn says “Do I hope that those people die screaming of rectal cancer? Yeah.”
The Dems are so concerned about the vote in the House that they have shoved a Democrat Representative out of the door. Representative Massa (D-Noo Yawk) says that the only reason anything has been brought forth to the Ethics Committee regarding him is because he was not going to vote for the Senate bill.
There was some good news over the weekend in the War of Islam vs. the World. An American-born Al Qaeda member was arrested by Pakistani forces. Now the question is: Will the Obama Administration try to get him extradited to the US, charge him with treason, and execute him 24 hours after conviction? That would be the proper thing to do and would capture the attention of the muslim world, who see us as weak in these matters.
If you didn’t think that giving the World Cup to South Afreaka this year was a bad idea before, try this on for size. One in every five adults there is HIV+, so the world needs to send a BILLION condoms there in preparation for World Cup 2010. How about just having the tournament in the civilized world instead? Just a thought.
Here we go again. The Chosen One has nominated a retired General to head the Transportation Security Agency. Okay, so far so good. The retired General is black. That doesn’t matter to me in the least. The retired General is a big proponent of “diversity”, even calling it a “requirement”. Now we’ve got problems. There’s too much emphasis on “diversity” in this nation. We celebrate the things that divide us, when we should promote the things that UNITE us! Calling for “diversity” means you want to promote minorities who are inferior in their job performance. Sorry, but as the old Ford commercial says, “Quality is Job One!” Hat tip to regular Claw contributor “Beachmom”.
Considering the politicians they’ve had over the past few decades, Noo Yawk could do a lot worse than electing this woman as their next Governor.
