At the suggestion of a number of my readers, I will try numbering my paragraphs this week. We’ll see how it works out. I also have material overload again, so a number of stories will be presented with very little commentary.
1) Back to one of my pet peeves. What part of “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion” has anything to do with the State of Utah having memorial crosses along a highway? Our courts have completely misconstrued the “Establishment Clause” of the First Amendment, which I quoted above. IF it is not a law enacted by Congress, it does not violate the “Establishment Clause”.
2) Don’t blame Obama for something that is his fault, since he’s gonna blame Bush. So why are gas prices skyrocketing in our nation?
3) Regular Claw reader “Hardnox” brings us proper instructions on how to behave during an Islamic massacre.
4) A few years ago, the terrorist-supporting government of Gaddhafi’s Libya had a seat on the UN’s Council on Human Rights. That alone made the Council a complete joke. It just got worse. Now Syria is scheduled to take a seat, despite the brutal crackdowns on anti-government protesters.
5) Why does the Obama Administration treat Syria differently from Libya? Could it be because Obama reversed a Bush policy of not having Ambassadors in terrorist-supporting countries and appointed one to Syria?
6) Janet Incompetano’s Department of Homeland Security was ignored by the mainstream media this week as they admitted that there are ten Libyan illegals who were captured in the nation over the past two years and released within our borders. They have no idea where those possible terrorists are.
7) There is an unelected board made up of union activists that has the backing of unConstitutional federal laws in the Obama Administration. This board has declared war on American industry. In their latest ruling, the National Labor Relations Board has ruled that Boeing is forbidden from opening a production plant for their newest jet in a non-union state. Where does the Constitution allow the federal government to force a company to use only union workers to build their products? Where does the Constitution give the government the power to dictate to any company where they may or may not built a plant? The general counsel for the NLRB actually said “A worker's right to strike is a fundamental right guaranteed by the National Labor Relations Act.” There is no such fundamental right unless it is guaranteed by the Constitution, no matter what that act says. The former head of the NLRB agrees that this action by the Board is unprecedented and way beyond the bounds of the government. I sincerely hope Boeing tells the NLRB to sod off and goes ahead with their plans. If the Obama Administration pushes the issue, Boeing needs to take it all the way to the Supreme Court. We MUST push every case involving the federal government acting outside of their enumerated powers to the Supremes. It is time for the Constitution to regain its place as the Law of the Land.
8) Of course, Barack Obama has no respect for the Constitution that he has sworn to uphold. He actually wants to overturn it.
9) Despite everything he has been saying on his “stroke my ego” media tour lately, Donald Trump is NOT a conservative and does not deserve our votes, even if he would be better than Obama.
10) Is this the future of liberal socialism in our nation? A 25-year old in Spain sues his parents because they are cutting off his allowance, although they are taking over his car payments. While the judge DID order the young man to go get a job, he also ordered the parents to continue paying an allowance. Court-ordered entitlement payments?
11) Dan Calabrese of North Star National hasn’t been featured around here lately. This column reminds us of why we enjoy his writing. Junior is more of an idiot than Senior!
12) A football coach in Tennessee got fired because of this song, which he wrote. Evidently some Obama-loving, America-hating parents complained.
13) When you read this story, you might understand why the French surrender so easily and why unions are the scourge of solid work ethics everywhere.
14) Apple has been named the least “green” tech company in the world, which is a bit surprising considering who is on their Board of Directors. Then again, he has always been a lying, blowhard hypocrite.
15) Despite what every Democrat and every member of the mainstream media (sorry for repeating myself) has been saying, the Ryan Plan will SAVE Medicare, not destroy it. Facts and liberals…like sunlight and vampires.
16) The President is supposed to be the leader of our nation, and by default the leader of the free world. So why is it that the current President abdicates his leadership role on every single issue that needs leadership? He always has. Leaders don’t vote “Present” over 150 times in four years. As The Crawfish and Gunny G have both said for the past three years, he always wanted to be President, but he never wanted to BE President.
17) Not only is he NOT a leader, but he is supremely egotistical and narcissistic. He is also delusional and possibly descending into madness. Another trait he has is compulsive lying. He repeatedly said that his father served in World War 2, but since his father was born in 1936, he was only NINE YEARS OLD when the war ended. He also said that his uncle was part of the force that liberated Auschwitz, when every military historian and every Jew of that generation knows that it was the Soviet Red Army that liberated Auschwitz. He surely is not fit for his job.
18) Obama also likes to hire liars for key positions in the government. Did Elena Kagan lie in her Senate confirmation hearings? In the immortal words of another famous woman, you betcha!
19) Here’s another liberal judge who has a conflict of interest, but has refused to recuse himself on a case that directly involves him.
20) A Stanford professor of economics has given us an easily read breakdown comparing Obama’s budget plans and the Ryan Plan.
21) The Obama Administration is officially in mourning. Will The Chosen One ever be able to make another speech without a few tears?
22) Kansas’ Governor is proposing to take funds away from Planned Parenthood because every dollar that they get from the government pays for abortions (don’t try to dispute this by saying the money comes from separate accounts, since the money in the other accounts would be used for abortions if not supplemented by government funds). A RINO abortion supporter actually bleated “I am absolutely amazed that people who want to reduce abortions believe they can do so by cutting off funding for contraceptives.” People who want to have sex without having babies can pay for their own rubbers. It’s called PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY, ya ditz! It isn’t MY responsibility to pay for THEIR rubbers.
23) The race card is out in force this week. We’ll start with PBS’s Tavis Smiley saying that the 2012 election will be the most raaaaaaacist in history.
24) MSNBC’s Ed Schultz reminds us why that network has about a dozen viewers when he says that the Republican Party stands for raaaaaacism! Hey Ed, what party has had multiple Congresscritters & Senators, and even a President (Wilson), who were members of the KKK?
25) Then there’s racist bomb-thrower Maxine Waters, whose House ethics trial should have already been completed, but hasn’t even started because the GOP is scared of her well-used race card.
26) You can take the Messiah out of Rev. Wright’s church, but you can’t seem to get him into a church that is run by anybody other than a racist.
27) Did you know that merging a racist school with a non-racist school is a racist act against the students of the racist school?
If y’all come across any weird/stoooopid/strange news stories that might be fodder for The Weekly Claw or The Weekend Claw, e-mail them to me at CrawfishsClaw@yahoo.com and I’ll consider ‘em. Yes, I will give you newshounds credit.
“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America ’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure. It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Increasing America ’s debt weakens us domestically and internationally. Leadership means that the buck stops here. Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt problem and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better.” - Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL), March 20, 2006
The Constitution of the United States
Yeah, when Buck sent us that email about Obambi lying about the WW2 background of his father and uncle, I couldn't help but think of the book "Stolen Valor".
ReplyDeleteMan... bad enough that Clinton was an anti-military weasel, but at least he didn't try to rationalize or justify it by claiming some phony "pro-military" history.
Bat Ears just can't help himself when it comes to lying, though, that weaselly POS.
Unfortuantely for HIM, everyone knows he never served a day in uniform, but he must think none of us know first-grade math, either.
Gaaawd. If Saturday Night Live wasn't run by a bunch of libs, they'd have material for YEARS with this clown.
Along the same lines as BrianR, after the 2012 elections (and most of the Liberals have been thrown out) we must turn our attention to the main stream media. They are a part of this whole problem. By selectively editing the news and deciding what new not to report, they are protecting O'Vomit and the Liberals.
ReplyDeleteNot being an attorney, I am not sure what law the news medis is breaking. However, I do know that something must be done to stop this.
1. Oh, maybe it's a US or Interstate highway so they can use the interstate thingy...
ReplyDelete2. Gas prices skyrocketing? No way! I just thought my ol' 87 Dodge 150 was gulping more gas.
Maybe if we could drill our own oil.... Think?
4. Ain't you figgered the UN out yet? Another liberal idea that never worked yet they won't scrap the damn thing. I remember the old mantra was, "The UN is the world's best hope for peace." Yeah. Right. Today the whole thing is run by communists and tyrants. Guess I'm repeating myself.
6. Janet Incompetano.... Poster Girl for the Peter Principle.
7. Any company bidding on a government contract must pay its employees wages on a union scale. That goes from building a road to building an airplane.
Didn't say that was constitutional, either.
And the SCOTUS needs to fast track all cases involving the federal government and civilian entities.
8. The American Thinker. I need to subscribe. That is a damn good esay.
9. After looking at Trump's donation list I have to agree with Linda Chavez. Trump is definitely NOT a conservative. And he may be a Democrat mole designed to split the Republicann '12 vote. He'd sure do that.
10. Maybe the judge would order the parents to GIVE the kid free room and board, too.
11. "What will happen to other jobs associated with paper..." These idiots just don't know what they want. They remind me of the spoiled kid that screams for his/her bottle then as soon as it is stuck in the mouth, throws it on the floor and screams some more. You'd think the "green" community would be happy ipod can "save" the forests. But now this jerk is whining about..Barne and Noble..? And what about the mentality of the folks who put this moron in office????
13. Kinda makes you wonder what the Frog air traffic controllers are doing as you make your approach to LeBorget, don't it.
16. Yep. And running off to S. America or the golf course every time there is a crisis is the presidential equivalent of voting, "Present!"
ReplyDelete17. And again I ask those who voted for Zero but are now, "Disenchanted", to quote a press release, with him.
Why are you disenchanted?
Did you not listen to him before you voted for him?
Did you not see who his associates were before you voted for him?
Did you not see who his minister was before you voted for him?
Why are you "disenchanted" now?
Did you not learn who you were voting for before pulling the lever?
18. To lie before the Senate confirmation hearings SHOULD be an impeachable offense in view of the lifelong appointment. I don't know if it would take an amendment or a law or just the Senate recalling the appointee but something should be done about folks like Kagan and Sotomeyer.
23. Tavis Smiley is right. What he neglects to mention is the raaaacism is coming from the n the black voters. And I refer to Walter Williams who said blacks will vote for Zero for no other reason than he is black.
25. The GOP is still run by a bunch of scared stiff nit wits. All you have to do to get them to cave is point a finger and cry, "Racist!" It's like garlic or a cross to Dracula.
26. Again I refer to #17.
27. "Racist." Most of the folks crying "Racist!" don't even know what racism really is. Just like the students of the '60's were quick to cry, "Facist!" but couldn't define the term.
Craw,
ReplyDeleteGreat wrap-up as usual. I saw that crap with Smiley. What a turd. if the Left did not have "scare the geezers" tactics and the "race card", they would not have a leg to stand on. Calling someone a racist is about as effective as a condom with the tip cut off.
A bit off topic but here in Denver our republicans killed a bill which would allow illegals to receive free college education. One of the republicans, a deciding vote actually, is a legal latino named Robert Ramirez. He was then blasted by the left and called some pretty vile racist names by white liberals....
ReplyDeleteLiberals show their true colors when a minority think for themselves and this country, rather than the lies the white liberals have been feeding minorities for decades. The left houses the worst racists in the country.
Eric
Crawfish,
ReplyDeleteLove the new format. It’s a lot easier to comment.
1) Theses atheists are more than just a pain in the ass. Instead of bashing Christians and Jews, they might try preventing Sharia law in this country. Too afraid of getting their heads cut off?
2) The silence from the left is deafening. The hypocrites!
3) Thanks for the plug.
4) Proof once again that the UN is obsolete, irrelevant, and totally devoid of common decency. I’m sure that you’ve read that the UN is poised to recognize the state of Palestine. What’s next peacekeepers fighting Israelis? Stay tuned.
5) Zero is afraid of Iran’s Imanutjob. Zero has ignored the wholesale slaughter of innocent people in various parts of the globe but now he chooses who he deems worthy of protection. What about the millions of Christians killed in Sudan?
6) I have a close friend who is retired from DHS in New Mexico. He says that there are large numbers of OTMs (other than Mexicans) that have gotten through of borders or simply released. It is a policy of this administration. Why? One of the responsibilities of government is to protect our borders.
7) Applying our Constitution would be refreshing. This is the same argument that we have been making for years but is ignored by our congresscritters. Fortunately some of the new ones have taken it to heart such as Rep. Allen West.
8) Actually Zero was an adjunct professor of constitutional law not a full fledged professor and constitutional scholar as the left would like us to believe. In other words ANYONE can get hired temporally to teach a class in a university as long as the board approves it. So much for higher learning.
9) I think Trump is a lunatic but at least he is taking it to Zero. Maybe he will embolden others to lead the charge. If Trump is the best this country has to offer for the GOP then we are in serious trouble. The 2008 election was at best an episode of American Idol, my hope is that 2012 is not a re-run.
Gray, my opinion.
ReplyDeleteActually, the MSM isn't breaking any law at all. They're absolutely free to practice "advocacy journalism" if they so choose.
And don't forget; that sword cuts both ways. WE have talk radio. And what's the most popular news source in the country? Fox. So we're actually doing fine, IMO.
I'm actually surprised at a history buff not knowing this, but the newspapers in early America -- called "broadsheets" or sometimes "broadsides" -- made no pretense at all about being "objective". There's actually no real historical imperative for it at all. That's just a bunch of BS made up by "journalists" -- probably at Columbia, if you ask me -- to give themselves an aura of moral authority.
That's one of the reasons the Founders were so adamant about "freedom of the press". NOT so we'd get some mythical "objective" reportage... no, no, no.
It was so ALL sides of the issue would have their chance to publish their own newspapers advocating their own views, which was actually the practice at the time, without the government having the power to dictate who could publish and who couldn't.
PS
ReplyDeleteMY problem with the "liberal media" has NEVER been that they're not "objective".
My problem with them is that they LIE about it!
Brian,
ReplyDeleteHe MUST have a mental disorder to keep lying like that.
Ghost,
ReplyDeletethey are not breaking any laws, except the laws of decency.
Buck,
ReplyDelete1) Doesn't matter even if it is on federal land. Crosses by the road are NOT LAWS ENACTED BY CONGRESS!!!!!
2) The excuse during the W years was that it would take 5-7 years for us to get any benefit. Well, it is 7 years later now...
4) The UN is a joke...PERIOD.
6) She was in over her head as Governor. She was put in this job to make HIM look brilliant.
7) The government has no right to intrude on the private business contracts between businesses and employees, including the minimum wage.
8) I do like that site.
9) He's just an egomaniac who really doesn't like Obama.
10) That would be the only thing worse.
11) and voted for Sheets, and Gaffes, and Reid, and Pelosi, and Obama...
13) (((shudder)))
16) To quote a commercial tagline...it's all about the O.
17) So many were caught up in the HISTORY of the moment, and the blacks were caught up in their own racism.
18) It IS an impeachable offense, if the Congress had a set.
23) Remember that Jesse said blacks can't be racist because they aren't the color in charge? Well...look what color is in the White Crib!
25) Yep
26) Racism is alive and well in the White House.
27) Amen, Brother Buck!
Gunny,
ReplyDeletebut the media laps it up.
Eric,
ReplyDeleteQuit presenting facts. Liberals don't believe in those.
Hardnox,
ReplyDelete1) Atheists are about as smart as the anarchists who violently protest international summits.
2) Kinda like the silence from Code Pink, and the lack of body counts on the front pages?
3) no prob...good video.
4) They will recognize Palestine including West Bank and eastern Jerusalem. Sorry, but that land belongs to Israel. If the P's want their own land, they can get it from their fellow ragheads in Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon.
5) He doesn't care about dead Christians or Jews. He's a muslim!
6) Because this Administration's goal is the destruction of the nation. Screw the Constitution.
7) I hope he runs for POTUS.
8) He was an instructor in "how to Bypass the Constitution and Make it irrelevant" 101.
9) Agreed.
Brian,
ReplyDeleteExactly. The difference between the media of today and the media of 200 years ago is that those guys admitted their bias.
Yeah, Craw, exactly right. They made no bones about it.
ReplyDeleteThere were newspapers that were pro-Revolution, and newspapers that were Loyalist. And they all slanted their reporting to support their editorial views. They trunpeted their views to try to boost circulation. Papers came and went depending on the political views prevalent at any given time.
Hell's Bells! "Objective, independant" press?
When?
Never, that's when.
BrianR,
ReplyDeleteYou nailed the Lapdog media on the nose. If they ever told the truth, they'd drop dead!
Hey,all. This will be short. Like the new system,Craw. Can't set up too long, just got home from having emergency gall bladder surgery Thursday,so not real spry here yet. Hopefully I'll be back in the thick of it next time.
ReplyDeleteThe ACLU shuld be known as the Atheistic Communist Legal Union. It is laughable to hear all of "their" establishment clause arguements!!but what is not funny is what is happening to our nation in the hands of these bozos. WILL we have a nation to save in 2012??
ReplyDeleteClyde,
ReplyDeletehope you're okay now. My wife knows about 5 people who have had their gall bladders removed in the past 24 months. Is that the new thing to check by the docs?
Chariot,
ReplyDeletegood to hear from you again!
The "establishment clause" is crystal clear, but liberal judges and lawyers have been twisting it for years. If it does not involve Congress making a law, the "establishment clause" is not applicable!
