12-1-2010 The Weekly Claw

Another crazy week is behind us…and the Lame Duck session of Congress is going to ruin a lot of Christmas cheer.

The Washington Times editorial board gave us a Thanksgiving column that is 100% on the mark. It is also a fun read.

The Blog Prof gave us a column about the first Thanksgiving, noting that the Pilgrims were the first people in America to prove that socialism does not work, a fact that is left out of all discussions in our union-run schools.

A federal judge has declared the Obamacare provision requiring individuals to be Constitutional under the “commerce clause”. Once again, we see someone placed in a position of making rulings according to the Constitution who has obviously never read the document. The anti-Constitutional judge, Norman K. Moon, was appointed by (imagine my surprise…) William Jefferson “I lie under oath” Clinton.

Dingy Harry Reid is pushing for a quick vote on a bill that the members of the Senate have not read because the text still has not been made available. Just like the last time this was done, Obamacare, this bill runs counter to the Constitution and the will of the American people. This time, it is the DREAM Act, which will allow millions of illegal aliens to get amnesty and immediately bring in their whole family trees from whatever crappy country they came from.

The not-so-reverend Al “Tawana Brawley” Sharpton and blueblood elitist snob Senator Jay Rockefeller (D-West Virginny, where they have 4 million people and 6 last names) have proven once again that the left cannot compete in the realm of ideas and free discourse. If liberals know they are beaten, they always turn to governmental regulation to solve their problems. In this case, they want the FCC to ban Rush Limbaugh and Fox News. If the airwaves are only filled with liberal ideas, then the people might actually listen to them…nah!

The latest data dump from Wikileaks, while reprehensible, did provide more proof that the Democratic Party is anti-Israel. Documents show that John “Lurch” Kerry-Heinz wants Israel to give up the strategic Golan Heights and part of Jerusalem to the enemies of Israel in return for…well, nothing. Surrendering as a strategy? Kerry’s showing his French roots!

Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell is the reason for the Wikileaks scandal, according to NBC News. Anything to further the gay agenda.

The unions are also attempting to use the federal government to overturn the will of the people at Delta Airlines. Delta’s pilots are unionized, but the rest of their employees are non-union, and the attempts to get the workers to vote in favor of unionization lately have gone 0 for 8. As a result, the unions are looking to the National Mediation Board to force more union elections until they can force the workers to pay the union bosses.

The Religion of Peace attempted to strike again against everyday Americans. This time, it was a Somali-born naturalized US citizen who tried to blow up a van filled with explosives at a Portland, Oregon, Christmas tree lighting ceremony. When will the non-muslim world wake up to the reality that Islam is a religion of conquer and domination? We need to stop allowing them to immigrate into our nations and become citizens. We SHOULD deport each and every one of them, including the Obama family, back to their muslim desert homelands.

Meanwhile, the city of Portland refused to allow their law enforcement personnel to participate with the FBI task force that prevented the attack because it was started under the Administration of the eeeeevilllll George W. Bush and it might have something to do with profiling. They are considering letting their folks play the game now that Obama is in charge, despite the fact that he has not repealed the Patriot Act. Ya think they might look like fools in front of their populace right about now?

Lemme get this straight. The religion of Islam tries to blow up Americans, and then demands (and gets) police protection just in case some Americans fight back. Portland’s dhimmi mayor even called any attempts to fight back “knuckle-headed”. Terrorists playing the victim card…how liberal America can you get?

Scott Brown (RINO-Taxachusetts) may have put the Teddythedrunk Senate seat into the hands of the GOP, but don’t ever think that he is a conservative. He has helped write a “bi-partisan” bill to let states opt out of Obamacare. Since it is called “bi-partisan”, you know it is actually a liberal Democrat bill that has been accepted by a liberal who calls himself a Republican. It only allows the states to opt out if they put in place a state program that has all of the features of Obamacare, such as Taxachusetts’ own Romneycare. That is not anywhere close to acceptable!

The Democrats keep stating that American voters are stooooopid if they vote in favor of the Constitution. Reacting to the mid-term massacre, Governor Ed Rendell of Pennsylvania said, “voters don’t always vote on logical reasons.” Opposing the people who are attempting to destroy our nation isn’t logical?

The soon-to-be House Minority Whip, Steny Hoyer, commented about President Obama’s call for a 2-year pay freeze for government employees, saying that the members of the Armed Forces should also have their pay frozen to add “an element of fairness.” Sorry, dumb-bass, but the military is already underpaid and is something necessary (and Constitutional) for our nation. We could fire 75% of the federal workforce and have our country run smoother. Why do liberals hate our military so? Hey Steny, if ya want “fairness”, then why don’t you take my wife’s military paycheck for a couple of years, and give her yours. While you’re at it, let me, a 20-year Navy vet, have the same retirement package that a 20-year Congresscritter gets.

If y’all come across any weird/stoooopid/strange news stories that might be fodder for The Weekly Claw or The Weekend Claw, e-mail them to me at and I’ll consider ‘em. Yes, I will give you newshounds credit.

"The precept of the Koran is perpetual war against all who deny that Mohamed is the prophet of God. The vanquished may purchase their lives, by the payment of tribute; the victorious may be appeased by a false and delusive promise of peace; and the faithful follower of the prophet may submit to the imperious necessities of defeat: but the command to propagate the Moslem creed by the sword is always obligatory, when it can be made effective. The commands of the prophet may be performed alike, by fraud, or by force." John Quincy Adams

The Constitution of the United States

  1. Craw,

I knew w/o even looking that it was a Clinton scumbag who nixed the ObummerKare suit. So typical of a lib.

Concerning righting all of the wrong that the Left has done since 2007, Andrew McLaglen's character in "She wore a Yellow Ribbon," summed it up well: "Lads, we have a man's work ahead of us."

I foresee Issa being VERY BUSY.

  2. Gunny,
for too long, the GOP has acted like the Scottish nobles from the first battle in "Braveheart". They show up, then negotiate until they only give away half of the farm, but don't have to risk a real fight. It's time for us to play Mel Gibson's William Wallace character from that scene, where he gets ready to ride out ahead of the assembled fighters. Someone asks him where he's going. "To pick a fight!"

  3. First of all, I wouldn't worry about that one judge's finding on Obamacare. That was to be expected. That's why we have SCOTUS; to step in when the lower courts screw up or hand down conflicting rulings.

The same thing happened with McDonald v. Chicago, and the Citizens United cases. SCOTUS set things right.

Further, the important case is the one in Florida. That's the one that has 21 or so states as parties to the action, and the judge there has let the issue of the constitutionality of the "mandate" move forward, in spite of the Bat Ears administration's plea to have it dismissed.

I don't think DREAM is going anywhere. I think DREAM is DOA. The Dems are already playing defense. As Obamacare is kicking in, people are getting even more ticked off as services are being cut, insurance plans are being cancelled in the workplace, private insurance premiums are skyrocketing, etc. As that process accelerates, the Dems are gonna be in a world of hurt, let alone having to justify any form of amnesty.

Those Dems facing the polls next time know all this. I do not see them supporting DREAM on top of everything else.

Maybe I'm wrong. It's hard to overestimate the stupidity of Dem/libs. I guess we'll see over the next couple of weeks.

  4. One other thing about DREAM.

It didn't go anywhere before the election, and a whole bunch of Dem Senators are up for reelection next time; I think the number's 23. They have many more Senators up for reelection next time than the GOP does; they only have to defend 10 seats.

That means the Dems have their work cut out for them to even maintain their razor-thin majority, let alone keep from losing the Senate.

  5. On the subject of Muslims living in the US, if they are not a citizen they need to be thrown out of the country. If they are a citizen, as much as I dislike it, they are entitled to every right and protection that every other citizen has. That being said, each should be checked to varify that they are not a member of a "sleeper" cell or participating in illegal activities.

BTW Crawfish, check out the following sites for more information on Hal Donahue:

It appears that old Hal and his family are nothing more than two-bit union thugs.

  6. 1. I would ask if the time between election and the new congress was not established at a time when travel was much slower. Like 40 miles a day was once considered rapid transit. So the time between election and congress was to give elected officials time to get to Washington. If so, that time is no longer needed and the "lame duck" session should be either (a) a time of recess; or (b) utilized for installment of new congressmen.

    2. Yeah, President Clinton appointed the federal judge here in Oklahoma that is interfering with Oklahoma law prohibiting judges from referring to shria or international law when rendering a decision. 70% of Okies voted for it...

    3. Hanoi John Kerry wanted the US to surrender in Viet Nam, too. But he is safe in his seat as he comes from the same state as Ted Kennedy and Barney Frank.

    4. Ann Coulter and Michael Reagan treat the wikileaks in today's columns. Coulter points out the homosexual angle and Reagan suggests Trying them for treason and hanging them.

    5. But don't you understand the lib thinking? EVERY lib considers himself to be an "intellectual" and to them an intellectual is smarter than the average bear so to them it is entirely realistic to be condescending. To treat the rest of us as children incapable of understanding the complicated issues of the day. That's why they stand around sipping sparkly out of a flute, "oohing" and "ahhing" pieces of total shit they call art but us lowbrows don't understand "real" art because we are too lowbrow. Remington and Russell and Rockwell were not artists to the "intellectual". They were only "illustraters". And again us folks who favor a picture of a cowboy or of Americana to a picture of Jesus being eaten up by ants, we are the ignorant, unwashed masses who, they believe, must be controlled like a kindergarten full of 5 year olds....

    6. C'mon, Crawfish. My E-3 pay with seapay, clothing allowance and longevity was $72.00 twice a mont

  7. Brian R
23 Dem Senators are up for re-election.
I believe the '10 strategy was go for the House and as much of the Senate as possible and in '12 go for the Senate.
If the Tea Partiers can keep the enthusiam up that is not beyond the realm of possibility.

  8. Craw,

Guess who voted YES on SB 510 besides the usual RINO traitors?

One Scott Brown. Check my blog.

  9. The hypocracy of this current adminiatration is laughable--those who threaten American lives are "ok" whyle patriots who believe in the Constitution are the "bad guys"?????

  10. I agree, Buck. I think it's actually better that the Dems still narrowly control the Senate, because that way Bat Ears & Company can't spend the next two years blaming the GOP for everything.

Further, I think it could very well lead to gridlock, and in my humble opinion, gridlock is good.

If the GOP uses their control of the House to pass (in the House) really good bills -- even if they're defeated in the Senate -- they can use these next two years to paint a picture of an alternate philosophy of governance that I think will resonate with the electorate come 2012.

BUT... it's important that there's none of that there "compromising" or "reaching across the aisle" or any other of that nonsense.

They need to paint a clear picture that says "this is what you'll get if you put us completely in charge in 2012".

  11. Good pile,Craw. This one don't need anything from me except I wasn't thinking Brown would be the answer. Look at the FIRST ONE he went to. McCain. Told me all I'd need to know about him. Look for this seat to fall when he is up for re-election. Got to agree with Brian on most of what he posted.Aside to Brian: Haven't been able to comment on TH about your stuff. Any chance you could move The Island here?? C ya next time.

  12. Brian,
hope you're right about SCOTUS and Obamacare.

As for DREAM Act, if they can pass it now, there's 2 whole years for voters to forget.

  13. Ghost,
    a) if we wake up and declare Islam to be the enemy, which it clearly is, then citizenship means nothing. Their loyalty is to the religion that commands them to kill us and to lie about their intentions.
    b) I read the Donahue articles and laughed myself silly.

  14. Buck,
    1) Great point!
    2) That judge has no jurisdiction in the matter. It is a STATE law that says FOREIGN laws and FOREIGN RELIGIOUS laws have no standing in Oklahoma courts. Federal courts have no say in the matter.
    3) He's ALMOST an embarrassment to Taxachusetts.
    4) No treason trials. Holder would intentionally botch them. President Crawfish would privately, without documentation, tell the CIA that I would not be displeased if the somanumbach ended up dead. Heck, I might tell that to the Mossad.
    5) I do understand them, and say F THEM!
    6) We ain't talkin' pre-aviation Navy here.

  15. Buck,
the Senate was a longshot for this year, but is squarely in our sights for 12.

  16. 8th Man,
the Constitution is considered a far right wing document. Obama declared it to be "flawed" during the campaign of 08.

  17. Brian,
any GOP who reaches across the aisle over the next 2 years needs to be removed in primary season. PERIOD!

  18. Clyde,
he's better than Teddythedrunk, but only because he will support a GOP leader in 12 and will help most of the time in cloture votes over the next 2 years.
    Other than that, he's a W/McLame/Snowejob/Collins/Grahamnesty liberal.

  19. Clyde, I've thought about moving the Island here -- even reserved the name -- but for now I think I'll stick at TH. Thanks for the thought.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble posting comments over there.

Craw, I agree. But you know, it's interesting. Remember when we heard all the crap a couple years ago about how we were "traitors" for not holding our noses and voting for McLame?

    What about Murkowsky?

I better never EVER again hear anything from some GOP cheerleader about how there's some "duty" to support the GOP nominee.

  20. Brian,
I can't log-in to comment at TH at all.

The Crispies seem to have been an advanced guard of the Tea Party. I know that I voted for Chuck B aldwin!

  21. I voted for Duncan Hunter in the primary.

  22. With a name like "moon" It can make you wonder where his judments are coming from. I have a car--and I buy insurance for it ---BUT what if I CHOOSE not to have a car--must I be forced to buy insurence?? Enter the Roman empire. All politics aside-I want to wish a Blessed Christma to you and all your readers!I also have a Christmas post up at Chariot of Fire.

  23. "An element of fairness"

If we implemented their view of an element of fairness we'd all be losers, except for the ruling elite...

  24. Re: thanksgiving, I have a post up with some choice quotes from William Bradford regarding the reason they came:

  25. Eric,
kinda like the pigs in "Animal Farm"...some are "more equal" than others.

  26. Moon is ON the "moon" I just read that the case liberty university brought up WILL go to the upper court--we will see. On this Dec 7th I salute you and all who fighting for liberty--remember Pearl Harbor--9-11---lest we forget!!(new post up too)

  27. with a name like "moon" I wonder where his judgments are coming from!!!(I commented earlier--but it seems the computer did not work!!) I own a car-and I see why I have to buy insurance--but what if I choose NOT to buy (or own) a car?WHY must I buy insurance?---Chicago hello!--on a more serious note I want to thank you for your service and ---lest we forget---WE all must remember Pearl Harbor and 9/11

I welcome your comments, but beware that I do review them before allowing them to be seen. While I allow opposing points of view, I discard stoooopidity and trollish comments.
