The first restaurant they mention is one that The Crawfish and family enjoyed while living in Pennsylvania, and we hope the chain comes to Texas soon…Five Guys Hamburgers! Then again, it looks like California icon In-N-Out Burgers will indeed expand to Texas, but their first location will be over an hour away (if there is NO traffic!) from Casa Crustacean.
The anti-Semite side of Barack Obama has surfaced yet again. He said that the video of Islamic terrorists sawing off the head of American Jew Danny Pearl “captured the world’s imagination” and showed how valuable a free press is. Yes, the press is shown to be valuable when they publicize the horrific murder of Jews, but anybody who publicizes something anti-muslim is just a step away from being Satan. To think that the vast majority of America’s Jews voted for this jerk simply boggles the mind.
North Korea really does need to get their pee-pee smacked. Over the years, they have committed many acts of aggression against South Korea in violation of the 1953 cease fire agreements. South Korea has never retaliated, mostly because North Korea has lots of artillery deployed close enough to the border to do extreme damage to Seoul within a few minutes of any actions by the South. So what is the South to do this time, since the South Korean frigate that was sunk recently has been proven to be the victim of a North Korean torpedo? At some point, the South will have to retaliate, or the North will just continue their aggression and possibly get bolder.
A new bridge in Stalingrad (okay, so they changed the name of the city to Volgograd after Uncle Joe’s death, but military historians still know it as Stalingrad) has been closed because of heavy swaying. When I saw that video on television, I was immediately reminded of the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, aka Galloping Gertie, which collapsed soon after being opened in 1940.
On the Sunday shows, former Navy Vice Admiral Joe Sestak, who defeated Arlen S.P.E.C.T.R.E. in the Senate primary last week, admitted that the Obama Administration committed a felony by offering him an Administration job if he would drop out of the race and let S.P.E.C.T.R.E. be the Dim-ocrat nominee. Will the Affirmative Action Attorney General’s Injustice Department investigate this impeachable offence? Yeah, right. All of the Republican members of the Senate Judiciary Committee have asked Eric Holder to appoint a Special Prosecutor to investigate, but the odds of that happening are about the same as the odds of Obama producing the vault copy of his birth certificate before February of 2017. Michelle (***sigh***) Malkin has a column on the stonewalling by the White House regarding this felony.
An American-born muzzie cleric is calling for the killing of American civilians in the worldwide jihad. Yes, Eric Holder, Islamic terrorists are targeting Americans. These people are not “radicals” or “extremists”, but rather are believers in exactly what Islam is all about. Their “holy” book calls for all non-believers to be converted, enslaved, or put to the sword. Deal with it!
Since the Dim-ocrats and their union stooges know that they will be getting kicked out of office in a large way this fall, they figure that they must pass all of their over-the-top crazy stuff immediately. How else do you explain a Senator from Pennsyltucky proposing a bill to bail out union pension funds to the tune of at least $165,000,000,000.00? Ya know, if the unions didn’t spend all of the dues money on donations to the Democrats, they might be able to pay their pensions. Meanwhile, we’re already driving our debt up to levels that couldn’t even be dreamed of 18 months ago and the Dims want to GIVE that much of our great-grand children’s money to the union stooges? Dear Senator Casey, kiss my taxpaying arse!
BP is definitely gonna have problems when the lawsuits begin regarding the Deepwater Horizon disaster. A safety crew that was sent out to run tests on the well was sent home before they could run their most critical test…eleven hours before a defect that the test could have detected caused the rig to blow up.
The Obama Administration and the rest of the loony libs are using the oil spill to attempt to raise your taxes by $1,100,000,000.00 per year over the next decade. Well, they aren’t going to raise YOUR taxes directly, but they want to quadruple the tax on gas and oil, which will have the same effect. As “Ballerina” Emanuel said, “never let a good crisis go to waste!”
During the first 36 days following Katrina, President Bush visited the Gulf Coast seven times. In the 36 days following the oil spill, Barack Obama, who highly criticized Bush’s response to Katrina, has visited the Gulf Coast ONCE! He will visit a second time on Friday, interrupting his Chicago vacation. In the course of his vacation, he will be blowing off the traditional wreath-laying at Arlington National Cemetery, although he will be returning to DC in time to give an award to Paul McCartney. You see where America’s fallen heroes are on his list of priorities.
Now the Obama Administration is going too far in their desire to open the borders. The Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security now says that the government might not accept or process illegal aliens referred to them from Arizona authorities for deportment. That guy needs to be fired yesterday.
Representative McClintock of California had a great response to the President of 20% of Mexico (the other 80% is ruled by corrupt local politicians and the drug lords) on the House floor last week. The video is just over 5 minutes long, but well worth watching. Now as far as the actual address by Calderone in the House and the Dim-ocrat response of standing and cheering when he denigrated Arizona, The Crawfish has a serious question for all Republicans who were in the room. At that point, why did you not stand up and walk out?
Representative Patrick Kennedy has proved yet again that nobody in that entire family has been sane since 1965. He compared the Arizona immigration law to the Trail of Tears and the slave trade, said it “violates the spirit of the Constitution” (as if the Kennedy family has ever understood the Constitution or supported it), and said it was “beneath us as a people.” Daddy Teddythedrunk’s little swimmers must have been extremely pickled when they caused Patrick.
“The decision is not whether or not we will ration care--the decision is whether we will ration with our eyes open.” Those are the words of President Obama’s choice to head up Mediscare. How many times do I need to point out that conservatives warned y’all that Obamacare would lead to rationed health care despite the claims by Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Dodd, Schumer, Durbin, Fwank, and the rest of the lying liberals?
Liberal columnist Bob Ray Sanders of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram doesn’t seem to realize that he shot his own arguments down in this week’s column. He supports SCOTUS nominee Kagan and opposes conservatives who are “strict constructionists” because he believes that the Constitution is an “imperfect” document, and he even uses the words of anti-Constitutionalist former SCOTUS Justice Thurgood Marshall to back himself up. Unfortunately for Sanders, he notes that the way to change the Constitution is by THE AMENDMENT PROCESS, not by the whims of liberal judges who want to rule based on their feelings and desires, not what the Constitution actually says.
Here’s some sad news from the county that The Crawfish lived in from 1996-1999 and 2007-January of this year. The Obama-Pelosi-Reid economic disaster has done what Jimmuh Cahtuh and the Great Depression couldn’t do. After 329 years of continuous restaurant and bar service, the King George II Inn in Bristol, PA, has closed. It was the oldest business in the US, but is the victim of Hope and Change.
