2-26-2010 Addendum
The Fort Worth 9-12 Project folks just brought this speech by Rick Perry to my attention. The first sentence of the 11th paragraph makes him an enemy of our state and our nation. Seriously, the only reason to vote for him now is because he is STILL a much better choice than the liberal Dim-ocrat former Mayor of Houston. I still wish Debra Medina could force him into a runoff without Kay Bailey Hutchinson.

At the rate it’s been going, the northeast United States is gonna have piles of Glo-Bull Warming in their parking lots in May! I just hope Mrs. Crawfish can escape in April.
With the vast majority of the American people opposing the Obamacare plans of Queen of the House Red Nanny P-Lousy and Dingy Harry Reid, Reid is threatening to ram the bill through by contorting Senate rules to suit his desires. When questioned on the matter, he told the GOP, and the whole nation, to “stop crying” about it. The Imperial Democratic Party knows what you need.
Dan Calabrese of North Star National has another great analogy concerning the health care summit. It takes a Minnesota Vikings fan to come up with this one, but it fits perfectly.
Folks, I just simply cannot make this stuff up. Back in 2005, the GOP was considering changing Senate rules to have a simple majority end filibusters on judicial nominations. In this video, you will see Senator Obama strongly opposing it. You will see Senator Hillary! strongly opposing it. You will see Senators Feinstein, Schumer, Baucus, and Dodd strongly opposing it. Senator Reid will call it “arrogance of power” and so will Senator Biden. Biden will even say, “I pray God when the Democrats take back control we don't make the kind of naked power grab you are doing.” So here we are in 2010 with those same characters supporting the nuclear option in order to destroy the health care industry in America? These jerks wonder why voter unhappiness with Congress has reached an all-time record of 71%, with only 10% saying that they’re doing an excellent job? I didn’t know that 10% of American voters were close relatives (or employees) of Congresscritters.
The health care summit…The Crawfish ain’t gonna bore y’all with a lot on that fiasco. His Majesty said he wanted to hear what the GOP proposed, but he himself spoke more than the GOP contingent, and his allies also spoke for longer than the GOP. When the GOP presented facts, Obama responded with lies. Senator Alexander said that the CBO reported insurance costs would rise, and Obama said that insurance costs to families would drop, conveniently not mentioning that those families who would see prices drop would be those who switched to Medicare or gummint-subsidized plans, while private insurance plans would see rate increases and all of the “savings” from the other families would be paid for with tax dollars. The telling point was that the Obamedia outlets switched off their coverage of the summit because their side was looking so bad. Even better was my check of CNN.com on Friday morning, when the summit wasn’t even mentioned in the 7 headlines for the POLITICS section.
I was one of the many who thought the GOP should not have attended, but I was wrong. They showed up with knowledge of what was actually in the plans and had the numbers and page/paragraph references ready to go. When Obama couldn’t lie in response, he just wanted to move along. He even accused the GOP of playing theater and pulling stunts because they had the unmitigated gall to have the whole bill in front on them.
You knew it was going to be a complete farce when Senator Alexander’s call for an end to Democrat talk of using the “reconciliation” option was answered by Dingy Harry Reid’s screech of, “No one’s talking about reconciliation!” Uh, Harry? Four of your own Dim-ocrat Senators requested that you use that plan in a letter to you on February 16th. His Arrogance, Press Nitwit Gibbs talked about it last week. You even talked about it on a public affairs show when you took The Anointed One to Nevada this month to campaign for you, followed by your comment that Republicans should “stop crying” over your plans to shove Obamacare down the throats of our nation. He’s got his tent in a twist over the recent vote by the citizens of Switzerland to oppose the Islamification of their nation, and has declared a holy war against Switzerland. That sounds an awful lot like a declaration of war, and should be immediately and decisively dealt with. If the Followers of the Pedophilic False Prophet don’t like the new laws of Switzerland, they can always move back to their sandboxes.

President Obama is set to name a University of California-Berkeley law professor of Taiwanese ancestry to the 9th Circus Court of Appeals, the most overturned court in America. While the prof has occasionally supported some conservative-backed programs, he is the chairman of the board for the American Constitution Society, which despite its name opposes the belief that the Constitution means exactly what the Constitution says.
Congresscritter Xavier Becerra evidently thinks that the suggestion to start a meeting with the Pledge of Allegiance is so idiotic that it is laughable. Of course, the meeting was set up by one of the top Democratic Party unions, the SEIU, and was to discuss “comprehensive immigration reform” which we all know really means amnesty for all current and future illegal aliens and open borders.
The House Ethics Committee is investigating a multitude of charges against Charlie Rangel, the Chairman of the House Ways & Means Committee. So far, they have only taken action on the most innocuous charge, relating to a corporation-sponsored junket to the Caribbean, and they have admonished Rangel. Look for him to get slammed when they discuss the major charges, including cheating on taxes and using rent-controlled apartments illegally as campaign offices.
There seems to be a bit of controversy over the new logo of the Department of Defense’s new Missile Defense Agency. The new logo seems to be made up of two main elements. There’s the omnipresent campaign logo of The Chosen One and the star and crescent moon of Islam. Why does he keep up this charade of not being a muslim?
When a retired Admiral of the United States Navy publicly admits that the Administration has committed a felony that is an impeachable offense, why doesn’t the media make mention of it, the Justice Department investigate it, and the House and Senate hold hearings on it? Oh, silly Crawfish forgot for a moment that this is a DEMOCRAT Administration instead of the Bush White House. Wow! According to a new poll released by CNN, 56% of Americans say that the federal government is too big and threatens the rights of the citizens. Since that is a CNN poll, the actual number is probably closer to 60%.

He was fired from Government Motors by Obama and hired back by Obama (not officially, but Obama DOES control that company now).

2-23-2010 The Weekly Claw
Thanks for all of the prayers and wishes of good luck for my job search. The Crawfish will once again be employed next month. There is a downside to it, though. I’m gonna have to join a union. (insert retching sounds here)
The White House is touting their “Health Care Summit” later this week, but in the meantime they have put forth their own proposal and are saying that if the GOP objects to it, they will pass it through a 51-vote majority via “reconciliation” anyway. In other words, the summit is completely meaningless. They have absolutely no desire to consider any GOP proposal, and they really don’t give a damn about what the vast majority of the American people want (only 35% of voters want any health care reform passed this year). They know better, so sit down, shut up, and take it. Welcome to the Union of Soviet Socialist States of Amerika.
Minority Leader Boehner says that these actions will cause the summit to be nothing more than a “Democratic infomercial”.
One of the keys to lowering health care costs is tort reform. Too bad the trial lawyers, who own the Democratic Party, have informed Obama that there will be no tort reform allowed.
Is it therefore any surprise that President Obama’s approval index is now sitting at a NEGATIVE 19%, with an all-time record low “strongly approve” of 22%?
This is rich. The White House, the liberal media, and the Democrats keep saying that the Republicans have put forth no health care proposals of their own. Not only is that completely false, but the GOP health care proposals are even linked on the White House website!
When columnists in Than Franthithco are complaining about how Obama’s trying to run the nation, you know he’s in trouble. The message is that the United States isn’t Chicago.
The Affirmative Action Attorney General now admits that nine Justice Department appointees, not counting himself, worked for or represented Gitmo detainees. Remember that Holder was a partner in the law firm Covington and Burling, which represented the Gitmo detainees, when The Anointed One appointed him to his current job. Once again, the question must be asked…which side is the Obama Administration on?
Why are the Democrats soooooo anti-business and sooooooo anti-capitalism? Dan Calabrese of North Star National has figured out the answer and has a fine column about it.
Susan Combs, the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, has a site to track all “stimulus” money in the Great State of Texas. Does your state have one of these? I haven’t perused the reports, yet.
As if there aren’t enough reasons to want RINO Michael Steele fired from his job as RNC Chairman, check out this story.
Colin Powell has proven once again that he is not and has never been a Republican. He has absolutely no regrets about voting for Barack Obama and says. “I think it was the right choice when the nation voted for him. He has done some things that have helped the nation a great deal.” Powell also decried the partisanship in DC, and blamed it all on the GOP, despite the actual facts, such as the Dems crafting all of their legislation without accepting a single bit of input from the GOP. Why would anybody ever consider him to be a Republican?
Compare Powell’s liberalism and his openly voting for someone on the basis of skin color with Glenn Beck’s 58 minute address to the Conservative Political Action Conference. One of these two men actually believes in upholding the Constitution. The other one took an oath to do so, but obviously never meant a word of it.
Why did thirteen Americans die at Fort Hood on November 5th, when he had repeatedly exhibited extremist views and loyalty to Islam over the United States? All together now…DIVERSITY and POLITICAL CORRECTNESS! It is beyond time to end the insanity.

The Man-made Glo-Bull Warming “scientists” have had to withdraw their report that said the oceans would rise by a half meter or more in this century. It seems some of their findings were, shall we say, false.

Not only is his scam/religion falling apart, but now Senator Inhofe is asking for a full-blown Justice Department (I know, I know…Holder would blackwash it) investigation into it and is demanding that Fat Al be called before the Senate to testify about all of his lies.
His Eminence Sultan Bu’raq al Obama started a new federal agency to study Glo-Bull Warming and provide ideas to combat it. It’s too bad that the first appointee to run the thing has now been accused of suppressing the scientific data that proves man-made Glo-Bull Warming to by mythical. Their religion is collapsing rapidly.
PMSNBC’s pre-eminent moron Keith Olbermann is at it again, but the organizers of the Dallas Tea Party have given him a put-up or shut-up opportunity. Does he have the squirrel food to take them up on their offer, or is he a eunuch? The Crawfish is betting on the latter.

2-19-2010 The Weekend Claw
Welcome to another edition of The Weekend Claw. If you’re looking for any references to Tiger Woods….right there’s all of ‘em you’re gonna get. Anyway, wish a little luck for me Saturday morning, as I face my first civilian job interview.
In a move that’s all-too-typical, the left wing media is falling all over themselves trying to link the Austin suicide pilot to the Tea Party Movement, because he was angry with the IRS. They ignore the rest of his rantings, where he opposes the Catholic Church (they have rules for moral behavior), the Reagan and Bush tax cuts, and capitalists, while admitting his support for socialism. In other words, he was a supporter of Barack Obama. Meanwhile, those same media goons are completely mum on the subject of the Haaah-vahd professor who was an admitted fan of The Anointed One, even though she just committed a mass murder, murdered her brother a number of years ago, and committed an assault at a restaurant as well.
Thanks to Poll Katz e-mailer “Bill” for this news of scientific discovery. He was the first of at least 15 people who sent it to me. That thing went viral in a hurry!
How many millions of federal dollars did the University of Corruptionois waste on their newest study? The 33 page report says that Cook County, the home of Chicago, is a “Dark Pool of Political Corruption”. I could have performed that study and written a much longer, more detailed report for a mere $100,000.00.

Was the Raptor shelved because The Chosen One already knew what was about to happen in the Soviet Union (okay, technically it is still just Russia, but not if Vlad “The Impaler” Putin has his way)? Does he want our military to become second rate in comparison to our potential adversaries? Yes, sports fans, the Sukhoi Design Bureau has now test flown a 5th generation fighter of the stealthy variety that was designed to be the equal of the F-22. Oh, and by the way, the other American fighter under development, the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, has had its development pushed back by a year.

Secretary Gates announced that as of September 1st, Operation Iraqi Freedom will cease and Operation New Dawn will take its place. The Chosen One and Gaffes will take credit for New Dawn and try to forget that Iraqi Freedom was ever part of the equation.
Meanwhile SecState Hillary! is over in the Middle East speaking at an Islamic school that’s funded by a US government-designated TERRORIST! Her Fellow Traveller, Homeland Security Ditz Nappy Napolitano had a meeting last month with leaders of terrorist groups to brief them on what our government is planning as far as anti-radicalization efforts go. Isn’t that kinda like Admiral Nimitz giving Admiral Yamamoto our battle plans for Midway on June 1, 1942?
I doubt our government will ever learn, and our military will continue to pay the price, that being politically correct and not acknowledging that we are in a war of extermination with Islam just leads to more attacks by the muslims. The public defender warned that there would be an “appearance that a Christian is seeking to execute a Muslim for racial, political, religious or cultural beliefs” because the top DA is a proclaimed Christian. In other words, a Follower of the Pedophilic False Prophet can murder for his so-called religion, but we can’t execute him for justice. Welcome to Barack Obama’s politically correct Amerika.
Once again, Texas leads the way in opposition to the rabid anti-capitalists of Dear Leader’s Administration. Rick Perry may have been cozy with lobbyists during his tenure, but at least he has the spine to stand up against DC.

In 1791 the government of France passed legislation to phase out slavery in its Caribbean colonies and grant the former Negro slaves citizenship. Rather than becoming citizens, Haiti’s Negro population mass murdered all whites and Mulattoes who could not flee the Island in time.

In 1973 the United State once again began playing a huge role in Haiti, giving the Island huge sums of money in handouts each year.
In 1994 the Clinton administration once again sent the US military to Haiti to rebuild the Island’s infrastructure.
In 1995 the Peace Corps went to Haiti in large numbers to train the Haitians in job skills. The US government spent almost one Billion providing food and job training to the Haitians between 95 and 99.
So when Obama says that Haiti has our “full, unwavering, support,” they have already had our full support since 1915.

2-16-2010 The Mardi Gras Claw
It’s Mardi Gras, and Mrs. Crawfish’s Saints won the Super Bowl, so the party’s been goin’ on for over a week. Laissez les bons temps rouler, and let’s have us some CLAW!
Let’s start off this edition of The Claw with more proof that The Crawfish is not a pure Obama-hater. I will give him and his people credit when it is due, and this is one of those cases (even if 99% of the work was probably done by career intel folks with zero political connections). A joint American-Pakistani force has captured the Taliban’s top military commander, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar. Baradar is considered to be the Taliban’s #2, only behind Mullah Muhammed Omar. Please note that almost every leader of Islamic terrorist group is a “Mullah”. If that’s not proof that this is a religious war, what is?
By the way, is the Affirmative Action Attorney General going to give Baradar his Miranda rights and try him in a civilian court in Noo Yawk? Just askin’…
His Eminence Sultan Bu’raq al Obama has named a White House lawyer as his special envoy to the Organization of the Islamic Conference. He’s trying to repair strained relations between the Islamic terrorists and the US which were supposedly strained by the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan. Of course, they were actually strained by the Munich Olympic Massacre, the Lockerbie Pam Am 103 bombing, the 1993 attack on the World Trade Center, the car bombing of the Marine barracks in Beirut, 9-11, and the fact that Islam’s not-so-holy book says that all non-believers are to be converted, enslaved, or put to the sword. Townhall and Blogspot blogger “The Interface” sums up the situation in this post, complete with a few good cartoons.
Can a muslim be a loyal, patriotic American? For quite a while, The Crawfish has told you that it is an impossibility. Townhall uber-blogger GunnyG has told you that it is an impossibility. What do you expect the folks over at American Thinker to say on the subject? Yup, they agree.
The Chosen One and his Vice Dolt keep screeching about how the Bush Administration prosecuted 300, or is it 190, terrorists in federal courts. When apples-to-apples comparisons are made, almost all of those prosecutions fall far short of the war crimes that KSM, the Undiesbomber, and the Gitmo guests are being held for.
A couple of days back, the Vice Dolt called the victory in Iraq one of the Obama Administration’s greatest achievements, but now he says it wasn’t worth the “horrible price”. Ol’ Gaffes can’t seem to make up his mind.
Obama’s Deputy National Security Advisor says that the Administration considers a 20% recidivism rate among former Gitmo detainees “isn’t that bad.” He compared that to the recidivism rate among American criminals. Earth to Obama Administration: there is a slight difference between Islamic jihadist terrorists and career burglars.
North Star National’s Dan Calabrese makes his return to The Claw with an explanation of whom and what Sarah Palin is, and what she isn’t.

Queen of the House Red Nanny P-Lousy has once again shown us exactly what she means by “bipartisanship”. She led a House delegation that her staff repeatedly described as “bipartisan” to Haiti. The delegation included eleven Democrats and ONE Republican. Sounds really “bipartisan” to me.
The United Nations International Panel on Climate Change is having to admit YET ANOTHER LIE in their reports. Sooner or later, they will be forced to admit that every single bit of their work is based on falsehoods and a political agenda. Man-made Glo-Bull Warming is a myth!
The Donald agrees with me. He even says that the Nobel Committee should take the prize back from The Fraudacle.
The professor at the center of the ClimateGate scandal is back in the news. Professor Phil Jones now says that most of the data from which he and his co-conspirators concocted the famous “hockey stick” graph of Glo-Bull Warming cannot be found and that his group was completely unorganized and kept horrible records. He also finally admitted that there has been no warming of the climate since 1995. He has even changed his tune in relation to the Medieval Warming Period.
So what do you say to someone at a gathering who keeps on insisting that man-made Glo-Bull Warming is real and that the Nobel Committee would never give their award to a fraud? Mark Landsbaum has a few talking points for ya.
The bloodletting in DC continues, with Democrat Senator Evan Bayh of Indiana throwing in the towel. Bayh blamed the extreme partisanship in DC for his departure, which means he blames the entire Democratic Party leadership. Standing FOR the Constitution isn’t considered by this writer to be “partisan”. Bayh also stated, “(I)f I could create one job in the private sector by helping to grow a business, that would be one more than Congress has created in the last six months.”
Here’s a good laugh for ya. Bawney Fwank says that partisanship is out of control in Congress. His solutions are for the Senate filibuster rules to go away and for the hard left Democrats to keep control of Congress. Remember, folks…to the Democrats, the definition of bi-partisanship is when Republicans just bend over and take it.
The GOP establishment is pushing former Senator Dan Coats to run for Bayh’s seat. This is definitely par for the course. Whenever the GOP has been gifted with such an opportunity, they have made the absolute wrong choice. Can you say Dede Scozzafava, John McLame (for President), Charlie Crist, John McLame (for Senator), or Kay Bailey Hutchison? Coats resigned from the Senate in the 90s and publicly announced that he was leaving Indiana for North Carolina, and he followed that up by becoming a lobbyist. Is that really the image that the GOP wants to portray? A political mercenary and lobbyist returns to Indiana to become a Senator? That would be like the Dems supporting a socialist backrooms dealer from Chicago, who moved to Arkansas (and eventually to DC) to further her husband’s career, in a run for a Senate seat in Noo Yawk just because she has name recognition. No, the GOP needs to stand behind a man such as Marlin Stutzman in this race.
You don’t believe that the GOP is trying to lose the elections of 2010? Really? Then explain why RNC Chairman Michael Steele has summoned the leaders of the Tea Party Movement to RNC Headquarters for a meeting. The story notes that the GOP establishment is trying to co-opt/bully the Tea Party folks because right now they “risk their hand-picked candidates being run over by the movement.” In other words, the GOP establishment wants to run “moderate” or “centrist” candidates instead of people who will fight for conservative principles and a government that lives within its Constitutional limits.
Speaking of McLame, the Senator now says that the GOP will put forth 10 legislative promises this spring. This is an obvious attempt to re-catch the lightning in a bottle that was The Contract with America back in 1994. One of the items he mentions is a Constitutional amendment for a balanced budget. This is another one of those things that looks great in theory, but can cause real problems if put in place, especially with all of the unfunded entitlements looming down the road and the constant possibility of more combat against muslim (or Chinese) forces.
“He has done so well, let’s send him out again!” That’s the cry from the Senate Democrats as they get The Anointed One to go out on the campaign trail to help save left-wing Senators who are in trouble with their re-election bids, such as Dingy Harry Reid. I mean, it worked so well for the Dems in Virginia, Noo Joisey, Taxachusetts…
Dingy Harry criticized the American Bar Association on how they rate judicial nominees. He said that they put too much emphasis on judicial experience and not enough on “real world qualifications”, meaning they rate judges better than the Democratic Party rates Presidential nominees. He also criticized the Supreme Court as “people who have never seen the outside world”, kinda like the Kennedy family, the vast majority of the current House and Senate, and over 80% of the Obama Administration’s appointees. Reid was set off when a judicial nominee that he supports got a less-than-sterling rating from the ABA.
Just when you thought Obama’s buddy Van Jones was out of the public spotlight for good, Hillary!’s replacement in the Senate agrees to attend a panel discussion with him. The Crawfish guesses she just doesn’t really like her current job very much.
A Japanese crew detained an anti-whaling activist who secretly boarded their ship and…get this…tried to make a citizen’s arrest of the captain in regards to a collision at sea caused by the anti-whaling activists! The Japanese crew should have just detained him until after dark, then jettisoned him overboard with the rest of the garbage.
Although he is doing it for purely political reasons, such as trying to get Crrap-and-Tax passed, The Crawfish must give Barack Obama his props for supporting the construction of a new nuclear power plant. Nuclear energy is one of the cleanest and most reliable power sources available, and the safety record (outside of the Soviet Union and the Soviet Navy) has been outstanding. France gets something like 75% of their power from nuke plants, and the US Navy has been using nuclear power for the majority of our submarines and aircraft carriers since the 50s. The only reason that we haven’t built one in almost three decades is opposition from the far-left.

A couple of years ago, we took the Junior Crawfishes to the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia to see the King Tut exhibit. While it was interesting, it did not include the gold sarcophagus that is so famous. Why do I bring that up? Well, scientists have just made some amazing discoveries about King Tut. He was a frail lad with a cleft palate, a painful and degenerating club foot, parents who were siblings, and probably died of malaria. Could you have imagined 50 years ago what the scientists of today could uncover in a case like this? Next Friday on CBS…CSI:Egypt!

A joint American-Pakistani force has captured the Taliban’s top military commander, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar. Baradar is considered to be the Taliban’s #2, only behind Mullah Muhammed Omar. Please note that almost every leader of Islamic terrorist group is a “Mullah”. If that’s not proof that this is a religious war, what is?

Professor Phil Jones now says that most of the data from which he and his co-conspirators concocted the famous “hockey stick” graph of Glo-Bull Warming cannot be found and that his group was completely unorganized and kept horrible records. He also finally admitted that there has been no warming of the climate since 1995. He has even changed his tune in relation to the Medieval Warming Period.
So what do you say to someone at a gathering who keeps on insisting that man-made Glo-Bull Warming is real and that the Nobel Committee would never give their award to a fraud? Mark Landsbaum has a few talking points for ya.
The bloodletting in DC continues, with Democrat Senator Evan Bayh of Indiana throwing in the towel. Bayh blamed the extreme partisanship in DC for his departure, which means he blames the entire Democratic Party leadership. Standing FOR the Constitution isn’t considered by this writer to be “partisan”. Bayh also stated, “(I)f I could create one job in the private sector by helping to grow a business, that would be one more than Congress has created in the last six months.”
Here’s a good laugh for ya. Bawney Fwank says that partisanship is out of control in Congress. His solutions are for the Senate filibuster rules to go away and for the hard left Democrats to keep control of Congress. Remember, folks…to the Democrats, the definition of bi-partisanship is when Republicans just bend over and take it.
The GOP establishment is pushing former Senator Dan Coats to run for Bayh’s seat. This is definitely par for the course. Whenever the GOP has been gifted with such an opportunity, they have made the absolute wrong choice. Can you say Dede Scozzafava, John McLame (for President), Charlie Crist, John McLame (for Senator), or Kay Bailey Hutchison? Coats resigned from the Senate in the 90s and publicly announced that he was leaving Indiana for North Carolina, and he followed that up by becoming a lobbyist. Is that really the image that the GOP wants to portray? A political mercenary and lobbyist returns to Indiana to become a Senator? That would be like the Dems supporting a socialist backrooms dealer from Chicago, who moved to Arkansas (and eventually to DC) to further her husband’s career, in a run for a Senate seat in Noo Yawk just because she has name recognition. No, the GOP needs to stand behind a man such as Marlin Stutzman in this race.
You don’t believe that the GOP is trying to lose the elections of 2010? Really? Then explain why RNC Chairman Michael Steele has summoned the leaders of the Tea Party Movement to RNC Headquarters for a meeting. The story notes that the GOP establishment is trying to co-opt/bully the Tea Party folks because right now they “risk their hand-picked candidates being run over by the movement.” In other words, the GOP establishment wants to run “moderate” or “centrist” candidates instead of people who will fight for conservative principles and a government that lives within its Constitutional limits.
Speaking of McLame, the Senator now says that the GOP will put forth 10 legislative promises this spring. This is an obvious attempt to re-catch the lightning in a bottle that was The Contract with America back in 1994. One of the items he mentions is a Constitutional amendment for a balanced budget. This is another one of those things that looks great in theory, but can cause real problems if put in place, especially with all of the unfunded entitlements looming down the road and the constant possibility of more combat against muslim (or Chinese) forces.
“He has done so well, let’s send him out again!” That’s the cry from the Senate Democrats as they get The Anointed One to go out on the campaign trail to help save left-wing Senators who are in trouble with their re-election bids, such as Dingy Harry Reid. I mean, it worked so well for the Dems in Virginia, Noo Joisey, Taxachusetts…
Dingy Harry criticized the American Bar Association on how they rate judicial nominees. He said that they put too much emphasis on judicial experience and not enough on “real world qualifications”, meaning they rate judges better than the Democratic Party rates Presidential nominees. He also criticized the Supreme Court as “people who have never seen the outside world”, kinda like the Kennedy family, the vast majority of the current House and Senate, and over 80% of the Obama Administration’s appointees. Reid was set off when a judicial nominee that he supports got a less-than-sterling rating from the ABA.
Just when you thought Obama’s buddy Van Jones was out of the public spotlight for good, Hillary!’s replacement in the Senate agrees to attend a panel discussion with him. The Crawfish guesses she just doesn’t really like her current job very much.
A Japanese crew detained an anti-whaling activist who secretly boarded their ship and…get this…tried to make a citizen’s arrest of the captain in regards to a collision at sea caused by the anti-whaling activists! The Japanese crew should have just detained him until after dark, then jettisoned him overboard with the rest of the garbage.
Although he is doing it for purely political reasons, such as trying to get Crrap-and-Tax passed, The Crawfish must give Barack Obama his props for supporting the construction of a new nuclear power plant. Nuclear energy is one of the cleanest and most reliable power sources available, and the safety record (outside of the Soviet Union and the Soviet Navy) has been outstanding. France gets something like 75% of their power from nuke plants, and the US Navy has been using nuclear power for the majority of our submarines and aircraft carriers since the 50s. The only reason that we haven’t built one in almost three decades is opposition from the far-left.

A couple of years ago, we took the Junior Crawfishes to the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia to see the King Tut exhibit. While it was interesting, it did not include the gold sarcophagus that is so famous. Why do I bring that up? Well, scientists have just made some amazing discoveries about King Tut. He was a frail lad with a cleft palate, a painful and degenerating club foot, parents who were siblings, and probably died of malaria. Could you have imagined 50 years ago what the scientists of today could uncover in a case like this? Next Friday on CBS…CSI:Egypt!

2-12-2010 The Weekend Claw
The Crawfish is somewhat back in action. The kids and I have made our move back home to Texas, and we now have a house and garage full of boxes. A good number of boxes have been emptied, but only by one person (I wonder who that could be…). I’m still looking for the box that has my medical records (to file for VA disability) and the box that has daughter #1’s clarinet (told her to put it in her room, but she left it in the basement, and those boxes take up 50% of the garage right now!). Oh well, I’ve got a lot of news to spit out, a job to look for, insurance to update, a car to get inspected, etc, so let’s get this done.
We start out this edition of The Claw with some sad news. Captain Phil Harris of the fishing vessel “Cornelia Marie” and the Discovery Channel series “Deadliest Catch” had a big stroke on January 29th, and he passed away on February 9th. The stroke happened while in port at St. Paul Island during the opilio crab (aka snow crab) season.
Fred Morrison also died this week. You’ve probably never heard of him. He was a fighter pilot in World War II, but that wasn’t his claim to fame. You see, Fred invented something that became an instant hit in the late 50s, and its popularity has soared from there…the Frisbee.
Another death from this week was NOT the cause of sadness ‘round here. Congresscritter Jack “ABSCAM” Murtha died after a botched surgery at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda. If our military medical folks screw up on a Congressman, what do you think they do with lowly enlisted folks?
The Crawfish figgered out another reason why arabs (supposedly) don’t drink. They don’t need beer-goggles to be unpleasantly surprised!
The Senate had to cancel another Glo-Bull Warming hearing this week due to the fourth large snow dump of the year. Senator Jim DeMint tweeted that it would keep snowing in DC until The Prophet Algoracle cried “uncle”.
The record for a single day snowfall in Fort Worth-Dallas WAS 7.8 inches until yesterday. The Crawfish and his kids were treated to (officially) 12.5 inches of Glo-Bull Warming in a metro area that has no snowplows and where snow shovels are unknown. Another city that rarely gets snow was popped with its heaviest snowfall in 24 years…Rome. Don’t look for a Papal invite to Algoracle anytime soon.
Fifteen months ago, noted intellectual Robert F. Kennedy Jr. wrote a column about how Glo-Bull Warming meant there was no more winter weather in DC. When this was pointed out recently by the Washington Examiner, all Junior could spout off was, “Idiots on the right like Rush [Limbaugh] like to point to any cold-weather anomalies as proof that global warming doesn’t exist.” No, Little Bobby, those of us on the right like to point out all actual scientific evidence and easily seen phenomena that prove how the climate is controlled more by that big fireball 93,000,000 miles away than by man.
Another one of the leftover unbathed hippies from the 60s showed his stoooopidity in regards to the Glo-Bull Warming debate. Rajendra Pachauri is the head of the UN International Panel on Climate Change. I think all of the snow has driven him over the edge. How else can you explain what he says in this story? People who know the truth about the climate should rub asbestos on their faces every day?
If you don’t understand why it is a really bad thing that the Obama Administration has the lowest percentage of appointees who came from the private sector, consider this. One of his top economic advisors now says that raising taxes is GOOD for job creation. That’s like saying cutting the wings off of an airplane will make it fly better. Mo-rons.
The Chosen One is going to lift the ban on heterophobes in the military. He’s not doing this in order to make our military better. Far from it! He’s doing it to weaken our military and to appease another far-left special interest group. Over 1,160 retired flag officers and the current Commandant of the Marine Corps are still in opposition to this move, which will cause a weakening of discipline and a lowering of morale in the armed forces. I remember the plunging morale when $lick Willie Clinton changed the ban to “Don’t ask, don’t tell”, and I’m glad to not have to go through that again.
Guess who is gonna get nearly $4,000,000,000.00 handed to them if Obama’s budget proposals get passed. If you guessed ACORN, go to the head of the class.
Representative Patrick Kennedy has decided not to run for re-election this fall. His spokesman said that the decision had nothing to do with his sorry poll numbers or the anti-Democrat mood of the country, which in true Kennedy fashion was a lie. This means that for the first time since 1947 there won’t be a Kennedy family member holding elected office. Maybe that’s a sign that our government will start turning back to its Constitutional limits.
Ahhhhhhh yes, the Religion of Peace strikes again. It is beyond time to send them all back to their sandboxes and realize we are in a religious war.

Target teamed up with one of their suppliers to sell globes that did not include the nation of Israel, but rather included the nation of Palestine. They initially claimed that it was a space-saving measure, until it was pointed out that “Palestine” has a lot more letters than “Israel”.
The non-drybacks in California are up in arms over the comments of a Santa Clarita councilman. The councilman recently spoke at a rally, and quoted Theodore Roosevelt’s statements about there being a place in America for only one flag and one language. Then he said that if his standing up for America makes people think he’s a racist, then he is “a proud racist.” Sounds like a good American to me.
The Donkeys are all scared that the 2010 elections will be a bloodbath for them in the wake of the Obamacare fiasco, kinda like 1994 after Hillary!care. His Majesty doesn’t believe so. He believes that his personality, popularity, and charisma are going to get all of those Donkeys re-elected. Showing their disdain of all rules, they plan to put a lot of new rules in place to force corporation to jump through many hoops to run political ads (unless that corporation is CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, PBS, NPR, the Noo Yawk Slimes, the El Lay Slimes…), and to ensure extremely low advertising rates for candidates who wish to respond to the corporate ads. They are in a real rush to push this legislation through. Upchuck the Gun Grabber even said, “If we don't act quickly, the court's ruling will have an immediate and disastrous impact on the 2010 elections.” Allow me to translate: “If we don’t get this done, we’re gonna lose even more seats than the polls are showing now!”

The Donkeys in the House and Senate, lead by Upchuck Schumer, have decided to try to override the Supreme Court’s recent decision on campaign finance reform. Showing their disdain of all rules, they plan to put a lot of new rules in place to force corporation to jump through many hoops to run political ads (unless that corporation is CBS, NBC, ABC, CNN, MSNBC, PBS, NPR, the Noo Yawk Slimes, the El Lay Slimes…), and to ensure extremely low advertising rates for candidates who wish to respond to the corporate ads. They are in a real rush to push this legislation through. Upchuck the Gun Grabber even said, “If we don't act quickly, the court's ruling will have an immediate and disastrous impact on the 2010 elections.” Allow me to translate: “If we don’t get this done, we’re gonna lose even more seats than the polls are showing now!”

…2…1…NOW! On Thursday, the Administration issued a report that blamed Bush for high federal deficits. The deficit in 2009, which belonged 100% to Obama, Reid, and Pelosi, was over four times as high as any deficit in our history, but that’s because of Bush? The Bovine Excrement Meter is pegged yet again.
The Chinese are upset that we have sold military equipment to Taiwan again, and are threatening to use their US debt securities as a weapon against us. The Crawfish wonders how long we must play this charade. The People’s Republic of China and Taiwan are completely separate nations, and have been since the communists chased the Nationalists off of the mainland. I don’t care that the PRC claims to own Taiwan. They don’t. It’s time for the nations of the world to acknowledge reality and recognize Taiwan’s status as an independent nation.

The media keeps trying to portray the Tea Party Movement as a fringe group of anti-government radicals, seperatists, and loons, with 9-11 Truthers and Obama Birthers at their core. That portrayal is part of the liberal agenda to belittle the Tea Party Movement and preserve Democrat majorities. So what are the Tea Partiers all about? Mark Davis of WBAP 820 AM in Fort Worth-Dallas (and now nationally on the ABC Radio Network) and the Dallas Morning News knows exactly who we are.
